I have always wanted to be able to press a button 5 times quickly to shake a plasma grenade off before it explodes!
The plasma nade should fall to the ground. This would give you around half a second to jump, sprint, thruster pack, jet pack etc, out of the blast radius.
Another idea I think could work, is when you are stuck, you press a different button 5 times quickly, with the final button press throwing the grenade that was stuck to you, in the direction you are looking.
Possibly even re-sticking the person with their own grenade!
I think it wold be a good way to counter the noobs that run straight at you trying to stick you all game.
If they implemented one or both of these ideas, would you like it/them?
Either way, please discuss this. Perhaps if enough people like the idea, 343i will add it to future Halo releases! How cool would that be?! A random Waypoint Thread started by a fan gets a new game feature tested for a future title!
I’m not trying to flame your post, rather, just explain my thoughts on why I really dislike this idea.
While it’s true that sometimes people may just run straight up to you and sticky you, it does take skill a lot of the time to stick an opponent, the reward being a kill is sufficient in my opinion.
Now the bigger issue, throwing a sticky during a 1v1 is extremely high-risk, because while you throw the nade, without a doubt you are most likely being shot at the same time. To land a nade should always be a kill, because in mid-range it’s extremely difficult to stick, and at close range, you’re at risk for being receiving a melee.
One last thing, plasma nades and sticks are critical to the thruster pack armor ability. I won’t go into detail, but if you know what a thrust-nade throw is then you should understand.
> Being stuck is a death sentence, good players who can throw accurate grenades shouldn’t be punished because someone can button mash their controller.
like when you drove over a banana peel in Mario kart and you didnt wanna twirl out of control, so you pressed B at the right moment and kept on driving like a boss…

> yea I dont think it would work here lol
Haha yeah those were the days lol
I see what you all mean though.
It seems a bit odd that a super soldier can’t throw a grenade back that’s all…
Maybe you could throw frags back if the timing was right?
getting a stick isnt all that easy, most people cant do it and if they do its from luck, i personally have been a huge fan of stickies and can stick people regularly. that being said, for the difficulty of sticking a grenade to someone i think that it should remain a OSK as a reward.
strangely i noticed it was easier to stick in halo 3 than it was in reach, even without armor lock knocking them off, halo 4 seems somewhere in the middle.
> I say whoever the one person is who voted for Shake Off should be burned at the stake.
hahaha that was not very nice!
It was me lol I just wanted to vew the results…
Clearly its a poor idea, at least 343 can see this and not do it now lol

stickies take 0 skill in halo 4. if they are even tossed in my general direction i will always get stuck no matter what. any one who think stickies take skill in halo 4 are probably very bad at halo 3. they need to be rebalanced for sure
