Deinonychus from the bloks forums has posted some reviews of the Target exclusive: Blue Series Rocket hog and Banshee. Personally, I love the fact now people can get the Reach Rockethog at a lower price and without the covenant AA gun. The banshee however seems to be a lackluster set since it’s a overpriced recoloring of the 2010 banshee. Hope you enjoy the reviews.

I am really disappointed with the price of the Banshee. I really like the Banshee, so to see it with a $0.20 per piece price point is really sad.

To me, the only way they can make the blue banshee’s price feel justified if it was a complete redesign like the orbital banshee blitz set from last year. Maybe Mega Bloks could have done the Halo 4 banshee design for this set and maybe add a forerunner structure to make be worth that price. As it stands I’m not planing to get until a price drop as well.

It could have at least come with Lights and Sounds. I’m sad that it is so overpriced because that’s the one set that I wanted most from the Blue Series.

It could be delayed just like how series 2 was pushed back from spring 2013 to fall 2013. Besides that there’s word from McFarlane Toys on series 3 and I bet we’ll not going see any news of it until next year’s toy fair in February.

Cool about the Siege Bike! I was able to replace my defective Elite General with a new one by getting a second drop pod from Walmart, swapping the figs around, and returning the defective one to Walmart, with specific instructions to not sell it again.

They could have changed it at least to the orbital banshee or just redesign it, its a shame that when the released red team vehicles, they were priced correctly. why do they handicap blue team? They also are overusing the falcon a bit too much they have been kidnapped by Sarge.

Do you mean the ones with the words Prototype in large print across them, or is there something we don’t know about?

From what I understand, these aren’t necessarily “Blue Team” sets. Just blue themed. I like the Falcon, though. It’s pretty cool to see the different releases of it. ;D

For the Mammoth I have no idea where I saw it (not Spartan bloks or PROTOTYPE) I just saw around 2 months ago in a physical location, there was a giant picture on some store’s window with the Mammoth Full Sized with a FRONT AND BACK Comparison. All I know is that the next day it closed LOL.As for the blue themed vehicles I just refer to them as teams.

It was a strange day when I saw that but it wasn’t an illusion they probably were just showing the PROTOTYPE cause the only difference was that it showed the back side. It was one of those stores that run on small companies so they were probably just “Screw it it’s our last day” hence why it closed the next day. But it looked like it was different from the prototype image. Stores aren’t always 100% legit, especially small ones this might have been copied off of Good Will Hunter’s Mammoth except with a turret probably edited on the top.
