> Ah, man, look at deskpic 3 of 4 for Series Bravo. There’s an NMPD Officer, and…wait…is that a new Energy Sword? Holy @#$% it is! The other figure shown is an Elite Ranger from Halo 4, but his Sword is far more accurate to the in-game model! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
So freaking beautiful.
I just might pick up the Elite for his energy sword XD
Well, after getting my hands on Series Alpha, I have a few comments on them.
The figure articulation is good, however the detailing is a mixed topic(Spartans)
The Scout Spartan’s visor was not painted properly which makes the visor bigger than what it really is. Due to this, there are multiple outline marks on the huge visor which I imagine were the border…The painting is good nevertheless and the details are visible.
The Enforcer had a minor painting error on its visor as well, however it isn’t very noticeable. Overall, I found it to be the second best figure compared to the Brute Major.
The Gungnir, due to its painting and the colour of the detailing, offers a hard to distinguish figure as its details are very hard to notice. The only clear detailing is on the front of the head, whilst the rest of the figure is lacking IMO.
Ot: This thread sure has gone a LONG way. How many posts have we both liked/thanked on this thread?

Anybody else see the new photos of the Play Arts Kai 12" Halo 2: Anniversary Master Chief figure? It’s looking beautiful, but also a bit pricey at $100. I’ve already got mine on pre-order, because I’ve got a coupon at Entertainment Earth (and they had free shipping for certain orders), but I probably wouldn’t pick it up otherwise.
Finally built my Halo Mega Bloks ‘Cobra’. Here’s my own little review of it:
The model itself is a nice squat vehicle. The turret has some decent sound and light effects, better than what I though it would be. The model comes with stickers to place one, and has nice detailing, such as vents, railings and headlights. I find it a shame that the cockpit doesn’t have any detailing in thought. Each wheel rotates on their own, allowing the Cobra to move forward and back, but cannot turn. The colours are a green-ish steel colour for the main body, with yellow bricks placed throughout.
The mini figures that come with it are a ‘Active-Camo Brute’, a ‘Red Halo 4 Var. Elite’ and a ‘Halo 4 var. Yellow Mark VI Spartan’. Accessories include Halo 4 var. DMR, a Brute Mauler, a purple Plasma Rifle, and a Spike Grenade.
All in all, the model is a very nice addition to a collection.
On a random note, I found an old Halo animation I did a few years back on the PC. Ah, memories… When will they do a Halo animation competition again?

> Anyone have the cortana chip key chain? Does it actually hold up well?
I got it… it’s ok… got it from bigbadtoystore and with shipping and everything else came out to almost 30 bucks… definitely not worth it for that price. I was under the impression that the chip was diecast but it is actually all plastic and cheap feeling plastic at that. The description says the chip was created from in-game assets, but I have a hard time believing that due to the fact that the chip is VERY chunky. It looks way to thick to be able to slip into a Spartan’s helmet, though the length is good. The LED light is pretty good too. It’s blue and bright and illuminates a doorknob well or can be used as a signal if needed. The battery however lasts for about 60 hours and is not removable so once the battery dies, the main shtick of the keychain is gone. The paint apps seem decent although the rim and some of the interior of the chip use a military green paint which seems a bit out of place on a piece of advanced technology like a chip. I can’t really remember if her chip in the game has the same coloring or not. Anyway… you’re best bet is to wait to find this in a store if you really wanted it, but I think it isn’t worth the money.
Can we all agree that as awesome as the McFarlane figures were… they should just give up the rights to small-scale figures to NECA? I would love to see Halo figures in-line with their Predator series or other figures in that scale.

I agree. At the rate McFarlane is releasing figures at, I would rather have NECA making them. I would at least want the Chief with packaging similar to their retro game figures.

No, I already have three full shelves of the things. It would not look good at all. We have Series 3 coming and if Halo 5 does well they might focus their attention on that.
