I am very happy to see I will be getting more Halo figures soon. I am probably most excited for Jul. I really do hope they can give us some more army building figures though.
@dude527 The Didact’s size is accurate. I checked on Scale Master’s charts and in both the charts and the figures, the top of the Knight comes to the Didact’s chest.

So recently I went down my local Target and low to behold they had most of the new sets. I picked the Reach Mongoose and all 4 new Metallic Series Drop Pods. Here’s are some of my of my thoughts.
The Reach Mongoose was an easy built with it only taking me 5 mins to build. The vehicle itself being based on its Halo 4/Reach design. Thankfully there’s no stickers with this set, so hours of painfully putting those thing on avoided.
As for the mini figs, the only one that comes in this set is Emile. Emile is a great figure both in model and in paint applications. The skull on his helmet is nicely done as well as his large red shoulder plate and grenade belts. He does come with his shotgun and Kukri knife though there’s no holder to put on his chest plate but it’s a nice addition.
Overall, a nice little set to add to the collection and now being one step closer to getting all of Noble Team members in Mega Bloks form. I strongly recommend to pick this one up specifically those who are fans of the campaigns.
As for the Metallic Series Drop Pods, this time around was a bit of a mixed bag. I’ll talk about the Covenant Drop first. The pods themselves are a lot more smaller than the past ones and are just molded in way as the past metallic pods. I kind of prefer this being done with the covies over the ODST pods since their pods in the games have always been just in one color anyway. As for the figs, I like these Elites. The colors on these give the armor a shiny look to contrast with their lighter skin color as well. Just like the ODST’s WWII shark teeth, the Elites have Covenant Triangles printed on their shoulders.
As for the ODSTs, I’m a bit disappointed on how these turned out. The metallic paint of the removable armor pieces look very cheap compare to past ODSTs and the new Covies. Especially it more notable on the blue one which make more look like the ODST from the Blue Series ODST Pack than metallic fig. The paint of the shark are more sloppy and fat looking than the past ones. I’m glad that these figs have the new articulation which can get them into some cool poses. As for the pods themselves, I still hate them as much as I hate the feet of Godzilla 2014. Really, you’re just buying these for the figs and it’s just part of package but I still miss the older pods and how detailed they were.
Overall, I said unless if you’re a fan of ODSTs, I say just skip them but the Covenant Elites definitely worth picking up.

IMO, They had a better G1 helmet for it.
Nice to know that I can carry on my Scout Spartans to the future.
Well on Friday at my Wal-Mart while searching for some Godzilla Blu-Rays, I picked up the Broadsword Midnight Strike set. Here are some my thoughts about it.
To be honest, I wasn’t that big of Broadsword’s design since it looks way too much like a modern day fighter jet than something I would see in Halo. But Mega did a very good job of recreating this vehicle. The build was very nice though. I like it that Mega make the wings have two missile launchers (which reminds me of the old Lego Star Wars sets back in the early 2000’s) and the top removable for some extra weapons and missiles as well. The missile launchers work very well and have a good range to them. The only problem I have with it is the back wings since they’re on a hang joint. It just bug me since I’m trying to get perfectly line and right can be messed up pretty easily are bit annoying. this is nothing too major that hurt the set and can be looked over but is kind of annoying to a perfectionist like myself. Also there are stickers with this set and they are annoying. Some of them I had to take the wings off to put it were they’re suppose to go. Hell even some like the plot panel are not even listed in the instructions which is some what confusing.
As for the figures, they are definitely the high point of and main reason to get this set. The figs they are Halo 4 Master Chief, Halo 4 Cortana, and the Didact.
First, lets start with Master Chief. The Chief has some good paint details though the paint for the scratch on his armor look a bit soppy. To my knowledge this is the only Master Chief fig that has the new articulation as of now. It works very well and is happy that Chief got this treatment. Overall, not the best MC fig that still goes to the FUD set but is much better improvement than the one from Cryo Pod which just repackage a Spartan from the Warthog Resistance. At least the green on the this one to be a lot more accurate and add the scratch. But this is one stands in the middle of other two MC figs that were released in past set.
Now lets move on to Cortana. This is the second time that Mega has made a Cortana fig (first being Mystery Pack Series 4) and is based on her Halo 4 design for the most part. They reuse the same mold from Series 4 which was based on her Halo 3 design. Which means this is not completely accurate to Halo 4’s but this doesn’t bug me since I wasn’t a fan of her new Willy Wonka hair. Some might be disappointed that the fig is not translucent like the last one. I can’t really blame Mega on that one since 343 make that change. Which surprisingly shows a lot more of the painted details that want into this fig. There are so many small details they put in like the little dots and lines on her upper body are a sight to behold. Unfortunately since they’re using the old mold, the fig has very little articulation which makes her more of a small statue than a stander fig but the details make up for it.
Lastly I save the best for last, the Didact. This is the tallest Mega Bloks fig to date with him being close to 3 ins which is to scale to my 3 in Bandi Godzilla 2014/MUTO figs as well. (Yeah, I now have a little Ultraman stand in for Godzilla to fight!) Joking aside, the Didact has good amount details and paint applications. Unfortunately the articulation is kind of limited as the Hunters and the only part that uses the new articulation is his forearms. This could be me being spoiled by the new articulated figs but I also hear from some people that the Prophet figs use a lot more of the new articulation than Didact. I wish that Mega would taken full advantage of the new articulation into the Didact. But it’s still a very nice fig even with using some of old articulation.
Overall, the Broadsword is very nice set and is a must for those that are fans of the characters and the campaign. Since you get possible the best Cortana fig out there and the Didact himself lets along this set worth it. Also the new things Mega added to the Broadsword fighter itself is make it more worthy of its price point.
I’m happy that Mega is still some what doing some Halo Wars vehicles and also putting in some Noble Team figures into the mix. Hope to find this thing on sale near or after Christmas.

I have some good news! The Mega Bloks Halo Scarab has finally been posted on megabloks.com, with the instruction manual, to boot! Check it out here!
What’s new: The legs will only be able to swivel back and forth, sadly, but, considering the size and weight of the build, it may have been a necessary compromise to sacrifice articulation for game accuracy. Also, the Scarab has NO STICKERS!!! Every detail is painted on, including the core, computer screens, and that little red thing on the back that you can blow up. There aren’t too many weapons in the set, but the holgraphic Prophet of Truth looks nice, and comes with a matching Energy Sword.
Also, a new set was recently revealed on the Mega Bloks Colector’s Facebook page. Check it out here. It appears to be 16 old articulation figs, Target exclusive, 8 Covies and 8 UNSC. Interesting, to say the least.
And, yeah, it’s a real set. Confirmed by Mega themselves.

Which trailer are you referring to? There’s quite a few.
Regardless, I’m sure that it is awesome.
EDIT: I just realized that with the new 1000 post max thing, this thread is coming to its end. Well, when that occurs, we’ll see you on the other side, collectors!
Got the cloaked Master Chief after searching at 3 different Walgreens.
Figured that I’d show to pros and cons of the figure.
Pros:
-Very good paint job
-Good accesories (Boltshot, alternate hand)
-Cloak has nice sculpting
-Nice sculpting on the cracked visor
Cons:
-Mine has a loose right shoulder
-Head looks sunken in to the cloak
-Head articulation is very limited when the cloak is on.
Despite the cons, I really recommend picking this figure up.
