I have yet to see the blue elite…I must have it!!!

Picked up the Spartan IV Battle Pack last night while doing a little shopping. I stopped by the Mega Bloks aisle to take closer look at the Pelican (if they had it in stock, which they didn’t) but they did have a few sets on hand.

There was a full row of the ODST Battle Unit there and tucked in the back was one Spartan IV pack. So I claimed it.

s452’s review on it was pretty accurate. But there are a few things I wish that they had done with a few of the figures. The Scout figure looks amazing. I’m amazed at the amount of detail that they managed to show on these small figures. And, strangely enough I’ve never seen any figure over painted or with a cockeyed off center visor. But, the helmet could use some additional paint, specifically the black under the visor typically seen on the Scout helmet. If I feel ambitions I may break out the model brushes and a little flat black to touch this up. Aside from that I just wish that the figure came in some other color besides red.

The rest of the figures in the set are fine as well, though I do wish that the grunt had bendable elbows. He only has rotating shoulders and wrists, so he always looks stiff armed. I can understand why he doesn’t as his arms are rather skinny. But maybe a pivot point down before his rotating wrists would have added to its articulation.

Trust me, the Halo 4 Grunts are the pinnacle of grunt articulation. If I showed you the first grunts they made, you would be astounded. 4-points of articulation, and the legs weren’t even separate. :stuck_out_tongue:

That sounds fun to play with. lol

Funny, I have to say that from all the MB figures I have gotten, the first one that I picked up is probably my favorite. UNSC SPARTAN MARK IV Covert Ops

Not quite sure how I would round out a top 5 figures from what I own.

Yeah, I just like all of them. Orange figures are my favorite, though. Something tells, me the rerelease of the GUNGNIR armor for the S-IV Battle Pack will become a quick favorite.

LOL! XD
I still have one!
Good times…good times.

I have new respect for Mega Bloks’s Halo sets now, especially their figures. Here’s what happened:

I have a bookshelf with more books than it can hold. There was about 10-15 pounds of books leaning over toward 4 Mega Bloks Combat Packs, my Metallic Red ODST, and my Ultimate Combat Pack. One day, the books fell. As you can imagine, I panicked. After doing a quick inventory and putting everything back together, I realized…nothing broke. 33 figures are smashed by 10-15 pounds of books…and nothing broke. There wasn’t even a stress mark anywhere. Needless to say, I think that Mega Bloks are very sturdy now, much moreso than they have been before. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow, that’s pretty impressive.

Kotobukiya has showed off their Halo 4 Master Chief ARTFX Statue.
The statue is 12 inches tall, comes with two sets of interchangeable arms, and will be available in November.

Very happy to see Kotobukiya back doing Halo collectible since the Halo 3 days. Hope they continue to make some more Halo statues in the future.

Hmmmm, I have to say, its better looking that the Mcfarlane Chief statue that was released. Maybe its the pose, but it just looks more interesting to me.

Granted, I probably won’t pick one up, fanboyism has its limits, but it is cool looking.

Well, guys, looks like the OffWorld Cyclops WILL be rereleased in the Fall with a “re-architectured” fig. Sounds like it’ll be the same kind of figure, but with new articulation. If you want to collect both versions, then you now have to add that set to your list. Good luck!

Nice! But any news on Series: Alpha(mystery packs)

They’ll probably be out sometime from July-September. That’s about all I know. :stuck_out_tongue:

I never really post here, but I figured you guys may like this. It’s a new Halo 2014 Action Figure Set.

Nice! The figures look cool. I hear they’re supposed to have DLC that comes with
em. Wonder what that entails…

Not sure, but wouldn’t it be sweet if the H2 Chief came with an armor skin of the Mark VI armor that was based of of how it looked in Halo 2-3 (almost all primary, with secondary in isolated parts, like helmet stripe and shoulders)?

I would love that. But I would also hope that it included the Halo 2/3 shoulder pads.

Do you mean the Mark VI shoulders being 100% secondary? Or do you want them to be more like they were in H2/H3?

I think he means in appearance.

The H4 Mk VI shoulders were a little too rounded out where the H2 & H3 shoulders were more streamlined and tighter to the arms.

I hate to say it, but nothing beats the Halo 3 armor. Everything looked like it was created to work with the armor in appearance … not just be snapped into place like it was in Reach and H4.
(Well, except the Scout helmet in H4 looks considerably better than in H3.
