Could this be another Micro Fleet Set? Or will it remain a prototype forever? Either way, it looks pretty cool: Click here to see.
Remember how some of the Spring sets are being re-released in the Fall with new articulation? Apparently, that also means new figures! Have a look: Click here!

I must have an Elite helmet!

Now I officially hate myself for buying the original version.

That Elite head is so BA. It looks like one of the animal head trophies I saw in a Bass Pro shop. But as much as I love this thing, I could imagine a small kid going down the toy alley and he carps his pants in fear and cries to his mommy after seeing it next to Lego Star Wars toys. That would be a priceless reaction.

Hahahaha, I agree. Priceless reaction indeed.
Although imagine if there were a Flood one…

You get lots of cleaning to do as the store janitor…
You have to clean up a bunch of the pokemon Trubbish which you made.

What I really want is a Zealot one which is cyan.
This question is for all the Mega Bloks collectors here.
How do you feel about all of the extravagantly colored figures they release?
This is something that has always bothered me about this line. In my eyes it makes sets and blind bags less appealing. I am very big on keeping accuracy to the figures. Lego does it with Star Wars, so it frustrates me when we get rainbow figures with Halo. It especially makes me mad that canon or more realistic color combos are far less common than the rainbow ones. I can give a pass to Spartans because of MM, but I am very unforgiving when it comes to Campaign figures.
Those are just my thoughts, what about yours?
Mega Bloks has released part 2 of their toymation series: Thrill Squad.
It’s very enjoyable. The stop-motion is wonderfully done and is funny as the rest of Mega’s toymation videos. I highly recommend to check it out.

Personally, I like the large range of colors that Mega has given with the figures. It adds variety to the line like what McFarlane did with their figures. If they only released the “canon” color figures all the time, it will just become dull and boring. It’s like saying all of the dinosaurs were only colored gray, brown, or green and didn’t have feathers, it just makes them a little bit uninteresting and losses a bit of the unique factor. That and some of figures like Storm Elites or the Halo 4 MC Mark VI which works very well with different colors and really shows off how flexible the design is.
For example, one of favorite figures from the Mega Bloks line is the purple Halo 4 Zealot. I know that that color was never used in the game but I still think it looks cool and I think it looks better than the final ingame “canon” color. That’s a huge benefit that the toys have, they could get away with colors like this and they don’t take a huge hit from it.
Overall, I think it’s just a nice addition and it helps keep the line fresh and new while waiting for new figure models and sets to come out.

I also agree with this.
It adds much more fresh designs and figurines in your army. Besides I am sure that there are times when you personally have taken a liking to some of the colours, who hasn’t?
Besides, there are always different colour choices of the same figures(excluding select few), therefore, if you didn’t lie the colour, you could look for another figure with a more realistic approach.
Anyhow it is canon that Spartans have the ability to colour their armour different colours, so it could always be a different shade from the next figure.
This is only my opinion, but I will give you the hat when it comes to the Campaign guys, although, could you link an example which would show odd colouring for the Campaign guys?

Ha!
When it comes to Megabloks Toymations, the creators themselves are the best!
I love these videos.

I can see where you are coming from, you make good points. I just think that it makes no sense to me why Mega has been going crazy with some of the H4 figures. In the game, the Covenant ranks each have several colors. I do not see them really taking advantage of this. They just use their own for the most part.

I honestly do not think that I have. If anything, I just get upset and avoid the set.
While that is true, it is not easy. If I could afford these, I would want to army build. I do not want to army build rainbow figures. An example would be the Spec Ops Grunts. There is only one set (I do not remember the name of it.) that has black versions of it. I have never seen blue, cyan and orange versions of these guys in the games. There was only a single level in CEA that had red versions.
I thought that only the IV`s could do that. Canon or not, it males me cringe when rainbow Spartans charge the battlefield.
It is all good, I respect your views on the subject. As for examples, there are too many to count. Blue and yellow Flamers, red Brutes and green Elites are just a few to name right off the top of my head.

I have to agree with you on the point where there are so many different colours that it can be unappealing at points.
But if they controlled their colours a bit more, I wouldn’t find it sometimes unappealing.
It can be pretty weird when you find an oddly coloured covenant species though.
Personally, I’m the kind of guy who simply loves visual stimulants. Which can include bright colors and life-like graphics. Honestly, if it’s cool-looking, I like it. That’s pretty much the reason that I dislike older sets compared to newer ones.
Waypoint a video about the Mega Bloks’ Quad Walker set.
It’s basically about Mega talking about how design the Quad Walker from concept art (which I think looks better then the final design) to the final product. It’s very interesting to see how it’s like to build a new original vehicle from scratch and I highly recommend to give it a watch.

Oooh, GUNGNIR! Yep, going to have to find that one.

The best part is that it’ll be released in more sets than just that one, too.
What’s funny is that on the Flame Hog, they referred to the armor as GRUNGNIR. I guess they got some dirt on their armor…
