I’ll be honest, I never thought they’d make Honor Guard Brutes, and I’m happy I did. Of course Elites wear the armor way better. It’s Elite armor…

I’d use them as apes for a toymation instead of being honour guards…

Either way, Honor guard Brutes aren’t exactly something I was expecting. I was most familiar with Halo 2 Brute for a long time, and I still am, partially…

Awesome to hear, Rubric! I, personally, have seen every Halo Spring 2014 set except for the Ghost, Armor Bay, and Quad Walker. Thanks for sharing! 
Still waiting to see some of the new sets here, though I did manage to find that infection minifig pack on amazon.
I really like the new look for the ghost. Very nice and sleek.

Thank you. Though I’m not really sure I deserve it. I haven’t done anything special.
Also, yeah the newer sets are coming to the uk. I’m not if it’s really new, but I managed to find a UNSC Cobra on offer. It looks really cool, though I’ve yet to build it.

Nice! While the Cobra isn’t necessarily “new”, it was a Fall 2013 release, and, in my opinion, the best L & S set to date.

Why would they not be canon? The main reason they do not show up in 3 is because they are all probably dead. Most of them were left on High Charity and Installation 05 to be picked off by Flood and Elites. The rest that were with Truth were killed on the Dreadnought by John.

Well, they appeared in a Halo game as a legitimate enemy. They are even shown in a cutscene, so I’d believe it to be canon.

While majority of them did die, why would brand new Bodyguards be formed? Shouldn’t more Honor Guards exist? Or were the Bodyguards took the role of the Honor Guard, but since they couldn’t make any more Honor Guard armor, they just took their Captain armor and painted it a different color? I don’t know.

I know they are. But there’s also a cutscene where skinny Elites are taking off their armor that was designed specifically for them, and were then put onto way bigger Brutes, yet the armor fits perfect. That makes sense to you? Just, why would Elite-specific armor fit perfectly on Brutes? Just doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe it was for simplicity instead of showing brand new Honor Guard armor being made specifically for Brutes, but still. It bugs me.

I get where you’re coming from. I always thought that a little…strange.
Personally, I don’t even know how it would attach to Brutes, either.
sigh Halo 2 may have been a great game, but it still had its flaws, just like any other Halo game.

Indeed, it has a MAJOR improvement compared to the first one…back when the SMG and Shotguns were huge…
Commanderbacara198 has posted reviews of the Blue Series ODST and Elite packs. As of now these sets are only available in Canada which is a real shame since these are probably the only Blue Series I think are worth getting. Hope you enjoy the reviews.

There’s an annotation in the ODST Battle Pack video that says they WILL be released in the U.S. It’s kinda like Series 5.5, which was released early in Mexico.
