Basically, imagine a Halo figure with CoD poseability. That’s what these new figs seem to be like.
I’m excited, especially if they can hold weapons with TWO hands!

Halo FTW!!!
I leave for a week or so and this happens!
Why must I even bother…
I’m loving ALL of the new sets!
Now COD has nothing on us on the toy battlefield!
In the one about the whole 2014 Fall sets they give out some brand new details. Here are some of the new details they gave out.
They talk about some of the price points on some sets like the Broadsword is going to be $60 (which is a lot lower then I thought it will be) and the Elephant is going to be $100.
All of the Micro Fleet sets will be re-released in the fall with all the figures in the new poseable molds.
The Figure Series packs will be rebooted with the new molds starting with Series Alpha in the Fall.
Most of the fall sets will come with named character figures like ODST Wombat will comes with the rookie, Spartan Assault pack has Commander Palmer and Spartan Davis, and etc.
The metal series drop pods will come with two new ODST and Covenant pods.
The Master Chief figure that comes with the Broadsword will have battle damaged to match with his ingame counterpart.
Lastly during the Scarab video, they confirmed that the prophet figure that comes with the Scarab is the Prophet of Regret in his Halo 2 form. (I kind of wished he was in his Halo Wars form since that’s the version I like the most but I’m okay with the Halo 2 version.)
Personally I find it very stocking that the Broadsword is lower than $80 which was the price I thought it going to be. But at $60 that a steal and I wonder how mush Amazon will cut done from that $60 price point. Also I love it that there will be more named character figures and final getting the prophets into the line. Hope you enjoyed the videos.

I’ve been hearing a lot about ‘Halo 2’ lately from these guys…

I guess I’d better pick up the old versions of the Micro Fleet Sets. That way, I can make a perfect comparison and satisfy my psychotic obsession of owning every Mega Bloks Halo set ever.
That may never happen, but I’d still like both versions.
And, yes, Rubric, it seems like 2 at Toy Fair was a popular choice to base their stuff on…
So, now that Toy Fair is in the past and all this Toy information is revealed, what is everyone’s favorite set? Do you like the Scarab? Or maybe McFarlane’s Halo 5 Chief strikes you moreso? Feel free to respond.

Assuming that I have extra cash after I get Xbox One, I’d say Broadsword…

To me, Mega Bloks stole the show for this year’s Toy Fair. They always come in guns blasting and they had some pretty big guns this year. Their Scarab was definitely was not only the crown jewel of the 2014 fall line up and the entire run of their Halo line but all the Halo collectibles that were showed there. Also add in a Broadsword that comes with a light up Didact, Halo 4 redesign Chief and Cortana for $60. Then throw in some vehicles and characters that haven’t been in years or were never made before. Along with a more articulation and customizable armor and you got one of the best of the line ups of this year.
As for McFarlane, their showing was underwhelming to say the least. They only had 2 new figures on display while the rest are all from last year’s Series 2 line. I never was a fan of McFarlane’s toys in general since they were the big dogs back in the Halo 3 day but they show off a ton of things back than. Now seeing them dying down like this, it kind of makes me sad. Since NECA became huge among collectors such as myself, it seems like they have taken some steam from McFarlane. Kind of disappointing to see McFarlane like this but I feel like NECA is the better man out of the two and are going to great job with Halo now.
Speaking of NECA, their 18 inch Master Chief is just a sight to behold. NECA is a company that has earned my respect thought the past few years for their amazing amount of detail and care they put into their figures. They have blown me away with their Pacific Rim line with their new 18 inch Knifehead left me speechless and their recently revealed Godzilla classic and Godzilla 2014 figures have left me with tears of joy. I’m super geeking over them making the 84Goji as part of the first wave of their classic line. NECA has done great with the king of the monsters and can’t wait to see what they will do with their Halo lines.
ThinkGeek is having a sale on Halo 4 McFarlane series 2 figures for roughly $13 apiece. Didact is a bit more expensive. Not sure if it’s the cheapest out there but hey it’s a sale!

Awesome, Ket. Thanks for sharing. Seeing how I have only seen them in person at Walgreens, I may pick one or two up from there.

Hmmm… I don’t know! There’s a lot to choose from. I will say though, I do like that small UNSC Wombat set. I really like the new version of the ODST armour.

It’s great that they will finally have their true shoulder pads and not some Marine ones.
So, I was in Walmart a day or two ago, and I noticed they had the plans out on the shelves. There wasn’t much in the way of Mega Bloks, and apparently everything had prices jacked up (probably for “Roll-backs” to regular price). I did notice, however, that the mystery packs were labeled on the shelf, but not out yet. So, I spent the next 15 minutes asking someone if they had them in the back room. However, I found out much more.
It seems Walmart stores across the nation are receiving trucks with around 20 palettes of new toys that they are going to sort through soon. Basically, within the next 1 to 2 weeks, we may be seeing such things as the UNSC Quad Walker, Infinity Armor Bay, and Rapid-Attack Ghost, as well as Series 8, Metallic Drop Pods, Cyclops, and Micro-Ops sets. Keep on the lookout, guys!

I have mixed feelings about this year. As I primarily collect the McFarlane figures I was happy to see they still have plans. I was also sad to see that they had so few. Series 3 did not make an appearance, I was really looking forward to those Storm Elites and Crawler Primes. It is most certainly cancelled by now. I can only hope that 343 continues to use the same models in the next game so that I can still get those and more. This is assuming they will continue with Halo, they seem to care more about TWD. I would also hate to see it turn into a line with so few characters in each series. That is one of the things I really LOVE about this line, they make everything.
While Mega Bloks are cool, I still do not see myself getting them. I really do want them, but money and space are scarce for me. The human figs look cool, but I have a concern. Will they be out of scale with the previous figs? The CoD figs have that same articulation, and are bigger than Halo figs. That could indeed be a choice that turns me off the whole line.
NECA had some cool stuff too. I still worry about my other line though. I have made it very clear in a post a while back on how I am against them making a 7 inch line. I do plan on getting their bigger items though. That and the SH Monsterarts line are killing my chances of getting anything else.

Actually, they kept the Mega Bloks Halo figs in scale with previous lines. The only thing that changed is shoulder and arm articulation.

Thank you for clearing that up! I really wish I could get more of these sets.
