> I know IT would just be speculation at this point but does anyone have any insight on the NECA 1/4 scale? Figures? Prices? I have seen some of their other 1/4 scale work and am wondering if anyone else has any expectations on pricing?
Neca’s 1/4 scale run $79.99 - $129.99 I would expect H4 mc and Sarah Palmer to be among some of the first.
> I’ve been to five different Toys’R’Us stores over the past couple of months and I still cannot find a single Halo 4 Series 2 figure! There weren’t even any Halo figures period! Where can I get some without resorting to online shopping?
Retail brick and mortar stores cut series 2 I’d find a place online and order them. Bigbadtoystore, Entertainment Earth, the spawnstore are all good online stores.
There is barely anything new to talk about besides getting a better look at the new Micro-Fleet sets which I hope they do well to see more of those sets in the future.
Also is it just me or has Waypoint been posting more about toys lately ever since this thread became really popular?

You mean to say I actually did something worthwhile?
Personally, I like it that Mega has decided to go with buildable mini-sets after their kind of not well received Universe die-cast line. The sets themselves look great and definitely going to pick them up when my stores get them.

Sadly no word about it as of now but I highly believe we will hear some news about it and the rest of McFarlane’s Halo line at Toy Fair which starts on February 16.
ok Ill have to keep an eye out for that. On another note I’ve actually found quite a bit of the series 2 at walgreens, seems every walgreens I’ve checked has a different figure than the last!
Mega Bloks has realsed a pic of one of the new sets for fall 2014: the NMPD Hornet.
I find it odd Mega has picked this vehicle to show off since it was cut from ODST long with a few unused NMPD variants. So this gets me to wonder if they will other unused concept vehicles in the future.
Also in that pic there’s the NMPD logo in the background which gets me to question if Mega will do a multi-theme line this time around. If that is the case, I would love it since it gives a variety of themes to pick from like Forerunner, Ancient human, and etc. Than the typical largely dominated focus on UNSC with maybe 1 or 2 Covenant sets from past lines.

Awesome find! I’d look forward to some NMPD Scorpions for sure!
To be honest, I like it better that way. I modeled it after the Official Off-Topic Thread, but I think that, in terms of longetivity, it has grown much bigger. Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread.

No, thank you!
Besides when I saw the title I was like “Hmmm…seems legit!”
The Off-world Cyclops is now in Canada!
It comes with the Reach Shotgun, a backpack, a ‘new -ish’ marine, and a nice ‘construction-like’ coloured Cyclops with a blow torch!
Come and get 'em!

Awesome! I have yet to see any spring 2014 sets in my area, other than the Spartan-IV Combat Unit, but that’s mostly because I haven’t been looking for anything but the Series 7 figure I’m missing.

I got three new Mega Bloks sets into my collection. They are the Night Ops Gausshog, Cobra, and Cauldron Clash. Here are some my thoughts about them.
Cauldron Clash was the most troubled and disappointing out of the three I got. The main problem I had with it is that during built it falls apart very easily. Like when making the barge, the base would pop out and some the lava bricks fall off. Basic it’s like the first Halo Wars sets in how fragile it felt. Back than I could forgive this set for that but this was a 2013 set, Mega has gotten a lot better since then and I should expect better. Aside from the frustrating build, the figures are well done. As the first set to introduce the Prometheans, Mega hit it out of the park. The Prometheans figures look fantastic with the only complaint I have about them is the Knight’s flaps. The Flaps on the sides and the middle one are made of a hard plastic but the two between them are a very soft rubber. The one of rubber flaps was stick to the middle one and when I try to move them it felt like it was going to rip off. Overall, I bit mixed about this one and I only recommend this set to those who can tolerate the old 2009 sets and to army build Prometheans. Beside those I said skip this one.
Night Ops Gausshog was far better built over Cauldron Clash. Mega does great with their Warthog sets and this is no exception. It’s a well-built set for it’s the Halo 4 Warthog set from 2012 but in a desert color with the Reach/Halo 4 gauss cannon design. The only downside the gauss cannon is that it doesn’t stand up well on its own and need a figure to keep it upright. The lights & sounds feature are well done with this set. All of the sounds effect are from the Halo 4 hog making it very accurate to it’s in game counterpart. Both the Gausshog’s and Cobra’s lights & sounds feature are run on a button-activated system is far better and less annoying than the Hornet’s and Pelican’s motion-activated system. The figures are well done as always. The new Promethean Knight Lancer is outstanding but sadly one of the flaps is loose on it but I think this problem only effects my one and I believe others may not have this problem. Overall, I highly recommend this set to anyone interested in the Mega Bloks line or Halo collectibles in general.
The Cobra is my personal favorite of the three. The Cobra was a fantastic built and can be changed into two different modes, mobile and lockdown. Both of these of the mode also have their own lights & sounds effects as well. When in its mobile mode the lights are orange and makes a whooping noise like the Maser Cannons of Mechagodzilla 2 or MOGUERA from the Heisei Godzilla movies. While its lockdown mode the lights are blue and makes a more powerful clunking noise kind like the MAC gun from Reach. Also when moving the railgun cannon to change modes have their own sound effect as well. I personally like the look of mobile but I love the lights & sounds of lockdown the most. This set also comes with a Combat Evolved design Shade Turret which I love since that is my favorite design of the Shade Turret. The figures are great as always with the new Brute Stalker looking amazing and red Storm Elite is my favorite figure out of these three sets. The only complaint I have are the covenant weapons for the minfigures are made of the soft rubber like the flaps of the Knight from Cauldron Clash. It makes them feel cheap and I really don’t like it that Spike Grenade is made of this rubber since there was a hard plastic one in ODST Ambush back in 2011. My final thoughts, Cobra is a must have for Mega Bloks and Halo Wars fans and highly recommend it to those who may be interested in collecting Halo toys.

Awesome review, s4! Seeing how I have some of these sets, I’d like to add my own personal comments.
Regarding the Cauldron Clash: problems can generally be remedied by A) building on a hard, flat surface, and B) Pressing down HARD on each piece as it is assembled. This was how I avoided explosions of pieces while I built. You may have done the same thing, but that’s what personally worked for me. Nice review, by the way.
Regarding the weapons from the Cobra: You said you were disappointed by the rubbery feel of the Plasma Rifle and the Spike Grenade included in this set. However, I got some very early versions of the ODST Ambush and the Covenant Revenant Attack, and I must say that the Spike Grenade and the Plasma Rifle I got from those sets were rubbery as well. Just my personal $0.02.
Anyway, nice job, s4! It’s good to see that Waypoint didn’t delete it this time! ;D
