So I got my Covenant figures on Monday. I am go to keep it short as my mom`s computer deleted my posts by white screening. This will be the third time I write this.
I am just going to list out my issues to make this quick.
I dislike how the Jackal can not hold the Beam Rifle without damaging his left hand. I usually like to switch weapons around between figures but I can not with the Jackal.
The Carbine is out of scale, the same size as 3`s.
I wish the Jackal`s armor was darker with more details on it.
The Jackal seems incomplete without a shield or a sniper helmet. I realize that he is based of early designs, but we have had a YEAR. If we ever see Series 3, hopefully we will be past that stage. Early series in a line seem to suffer from that problem, or at least with Halo.
Weapon pegs do NOT come out of the Carbine or the Railgun, even after heating them up.
Despite my issues, I highly recommend both Covy figures. They were worth my money to build an army. I got 6 Rangers and 4 Jackals. They really look cool together with all of my other Halo 4 figures.
P.S. I have many left over codes and want to give them away. Are there any rules I should be aware of? I ask for nothing in return for them. Either way I will keep them for a while. I want people to support the line and actually buy these. I want Series 3.

As long as no one asks for them, you can give them away however you wish.
I’m still in the process of tracking almost every figure. I’m a starting collector, and I really enjoyed the detail on the CIO #2.
Are they the codes from the figures themselves, or different ones?
Any word on the official release date? I am ready to throw in the towel if this last walgreens has nothing.

Thanks! I only have the Carbine and Storm Rifle skins.
Just so you know… their release is official. Stores are just not good places to get these, unless you are willing to wait a month or two… or three. If you are able to order online, DO IT! That extra week you have to wait is better than that extra month. I highly recommend you try out BigBadToyStore and EntertainmentEarth, if not those then at least Amazon. You can buy a whole case online or order single cards in bulk to army build (as I have done) at retail price. As far as exclusives go though, you have to wait it out until the stores put them out on the pegs.

i’d say hand them to riot for the scavenger hunt, but that thread is pretty lively right now, blues’ thread is pretty dry, so that could use the booster shot…

Nice review. As far as the codes go, there is nothing that says you can’t giveaway codes. However, it is against the rules to trade for or ask for codes. As you said, you expect nothing in return and only wish to give them away, later of course. You should be fine. ;D
> > Not really a toy but is a McFarlane Halo collectible related: Waypoint has released pics and per-order details for the 1000 limited-run Halo 4 Master Chief statue. If I had the money, I’ll put this in a museum. The detail on this guy is jaw-dropping and the interchangeable weapons is a nice little bonus. If you missed out on the FUD statue from last year, this will fill that void.

> Wow that’s so awesome! And for only…$295!!! I don’t have that kind of money.
Neither do I! I’m saving for the Xbox One! I hate how these awesome things are happening now. :{
Looks like McFarlane has done a pretty well job with this series. Also commanderbacara198 has teased that a review of the Mega Bloks’ UNSC Mammoth is on the way. I can’t wait for that!
Besides toy news: I went to a Kmart last night and picked up the Collect & Build: Booster Frame and Oni REAP-X sets. Here are some of my thoughts about these sets:
The Collect & Build; Booster Frame sets were a mixed bag for my taste with the individual structures besides the Forerunner Terminal were not based on structures in the games and the translucent gray UNSC guns felt out of place. But when the sets are put to together to make the Booster Frame, those problems don’t seems as big. The Booster Frame itself and the figures are easily the best parts of this line with the metallic EVA figure being my favorite from these sets. I hope Mega Bloks continue with the Collect & Build idea and make some more metallic figures in the future.
The Oni REAP-X line is something I been waiting to get my hand on in a long time. The Siege Bike is the only one from this line that I’m disappointed with since the vehicle has a hard time standing up due to the big gun on its side and the paint job on the CIO eyes are a bit messy. It’s a shame since there is some things I enjoy with this set like the active cameo Storm Grunt which is a lot more clearer then other active cameo figures and I love the over all design of the Siege Bike.
While the Siege Bike left me in disappointment, the VTOL set was the opposite. The figures were breathtaking, the naval blue color looks great on the Mark IV spartan and the Storm Jackal looks absolutely beautiful. The only negative I have with this set vehicle’s design since it more looks a personal transport hovercraft that off fitted with weapons then a fill out assault vehicle. This is a mirror problem to me since Mega Bloks are using their own designs for this I really don’t think of these vehicles as canon like what Hasbro did with their Star Wars Transformer line. Over all, I love the VTOL set and hope that Mega Bloks will continue with the REAP-X line since I love the idea of it and possibilities are endless.
> Mega Bloks announced at the New York Comic Con and their blog that a new toymation series developed with 343 is on the way is. I hope this also means there be a toymation contest this year as well.

Nice review, although my siege bike can stand up fine by its own.
