I only have 2700, at the moment.

What comes with this one in particular? It’s just the figure itself, right?

just the figure, no codez.

Which one is the GS exclusive anyway? I can’t seem to find it/images of it anywhere. Either that, or I’m too big a derp to see it.

Progress has been made today. Stopped by walgreens on my way home, spoke to the manager. She had no clue what the heck I was talking about even when I showed her an image of the CIO, and claimed if it wasn’t on the website that they couldn’t carry it. BUT she did phone up their nation wide customer service department and had me talk to the guy on the line who took my information and the details of the item. Said he’d ‘research’ the item and try to find any stores within a 10 mile radius that carry it.

I told them many of my friends in other counties and states had bought multiples of the toy already but that none of my local Walgreens seemed to even know it existed…so hopefully he can find at least two of those CIO near-by-ish.

The Game Stop figure is a red Spartan warrior. Here an image of it in the packaging

That is gorgeous. I want one. But alas, no GS account.

> That is gorgeous. I want one. But alas, no GS account.

Well, you coulds always pay exorbitant amounts of money for one on eBay…

Glad to hear that you’re making progress. I wouldn’t worry too much about not finding them. Remember, the release date is technically October, so you’ll probably have an easier time of finding them in a week or two. ;D

Major edit! The whole of Series 2 McFarlane figs is now available on Amazon (minus the Walgreens CIO…)

Check 'em out! SERIES 2!!!

I was borrowing through Mega Bloks’ Facebook and it turns out the commercials for fall 2013 sets are not the first time Mega Bloks did commercials for their Halo line. Mega Bloks had made some Halo commercials for the 2012 sets in other countries.

Here’s one of these commercials but sadly it’s in Spanish(please correct me if I’m wrong) since these weren’t designed for the USA. Also the company who made that commercial had release modeling and texturing videos for the Sabre and Wraith.

I thought these were some interesting finds and wanted share these with other Mega Bloks fans. I hope you enjoy them.

Ok, sorry for the delay. On with the review. Pics to come.

I used to collect spawns figures totalling over 1000 spawns alone, movie maniacs, MoTU, transformers, etc.
So i will give you an indepth review for everything, mostly because the retired collector in me wont just let me say, yeah they look okay, blah blah.

Packaging.
The cards are tall and thin, the codes are at the bottom of the package. The bubble showcase the figures well.

The figures.
I found it interesting that they are so small. Side by side comparsion of these halo figures and a spawn, they are greatly smaller. As with all Mcfarlanes the are hand painted and the articulation is awesome.

Cost.
At $13.99 now at bad price for a great looking figure and codez too boot.

Master Chief
The ol’ MC looks great, classic color and the detail is good. Legendary Visor. He comes with a Micro-ops Cortana. He is outfitted with a railgun. The Riptide skin for the AR is included.
Master Chief

The Jackal
Kig-yar never looked so good, the detail and paint on the jackal is very good. It is quite small though, and it appears he is top heavy, but comes with a stand. Armed with a covenant carbine, the jackal is ready to lay down some damage.
The Engage skin is included for the covenant carbine. Fun fact, the kig-yar are often noted as being left handed, these ones are right handed.
Jackal

Spartan Scout
The orange paint job really jumps off the figure! I mean this thing is bright orange. The detail and armor are true to the game. Silver visor. Ready to rumble with a sticky det the spartan scout is a good figure overall.
The Toxic skin is included with the Spartan Scout.
Scout

Spartan C.I.O. Violet and Walgreen exclusive repaint.
The only difference between the figures is that skins are different. The helmets really stand out on these for me. The detail and paint are good. DMR is the weapon of choice for the CIO.
The Ruin skin in included with the spartan CIO violet
The Bones DMR is included with the Walgreens Exclusive.
CIO Violet
CIO Exclusive

Elite Ranger
Imho, this the best figure in the series, BIG and heavy, like a true Macfarlane. The helmet is awesome. The paint and detail are fantastic. Even the detail on the hands are great. It would only have been better to have been a B.O.B.
Massive is the Beam Rifle included, i would say biggest gun in the series to match the absolute girth of the figure. I feel this will be the most sought after figure by collectors. The Chill skin is included with the Ranger.
Ranger

The Didact
As it has been said before, “He is a BIG boy!” standing at nine inches tall, he dwarfs all other in the series. I found the interchangable heads to be a cool addition, rather than a helmet. The detail and paint are excellent, ugly as hell, so true to fashion in that respect. His hands look awesome. The helmet version is sweet! He doesnt appear to have weapon.
The Refractive skin for the Venator and suppressor are included with this beast.
The Didact
I will take pictures of the figures, unopened, sorry i cant bring myself to further mangle the card anymore.
In addition to figure pics i will also take some screen shots of the weapon skins and armor skins, and post them here.
Hope you enjoyed my review, now get out there and get em Spartans!

In less exciting news, I found a Crawler at K-Mart.

If you slip a pocket knife through the plastic exterior a small distance away from the card, you can remove the figure, and only damage the blister package. ;D That’s how I open my Mega Bloks packaged sets. ;D

I did that to extract the codes. That’s about all though, keeping them on the card is what i likes.

Ah, well, it’s up to you. ;D

You’re welcome. Screenshot thread contest is live!

Not’ sure whos gonna see this post but:

It. Is. GLORIOUS

Its HUGEEEEEE! I thought it would be the same height as the MC series 1 figure. But this figure is the about the same height as the reach statue. The box is a foot tall and the figure is 10-11 inches tall,. I really didn’t want to open it but i need the code. Does anyone know know to take the head off? Im afraid i’ll break it.

Thankfully when i opened one side the code paper was just laying there so i didn’t have to even take the figure out. It will be hard to resist the temptation.

I am disappointed that the venator skin doesn’t have the orange visor like it was depicted/advertised. I was pretty sure it wouldn’t have it but im still sad. Most armor in this game is not impressive since almost all of it can be acquired just from leveling up.

In my opinion…how you get the armor doesn’t make it impressive.

Wearing it does. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, glad to hear you enjoy Didact. He’s kinda, well, big, isn’t he?

As far as the head goes, I don’t know…yet. I do believe we’ll get an informative review from Halo Toy News that details the process. ;D

Can you take a pic of it beside your 360?

You don’t have an X1 to compare giant sized things yet (as I’ve heard ;), but the 360 beside your “Action Figure” will do.

I saw the Promethean Knight at Wal-Mart and I thought “Daaaaaaamn, that’s big!”

It’s actually quite large for an action figure. Normally, cheap ones are 6" scale, and expensive ones are 12". This guy is 6", but around 9-12" tall in reality. :stuck_out_tongue:

HaloJoBob from the Bloks Froums has posted a review of the Mega Bloks Collector’s Edition Pack.

It nice to have a few more Reach figures to add in the collection but I’m going to wait on a sale to get this one. I really hope that Toy R’ Us’s mystery figure pack is going to be reveal sometime soon and wish it could be better the Collector’s Edition Pack.
