They said in the Podcast if you are Sprinting in Halo 4 and get shot you slow down .They even said it is almost impossible to Double melee without having a facefull of bullets . So sprint will not be as bad in Halo 4 as Halo Reach .If you get shot you will slow down . Ask me it makes the game more skill requiring . So dont say Sprint will kill gameplay if your kill is Sprinting away shoot him stop him Kill him .
Thoughts
Good, it was BS that players (including myself) were even capable of double sprint melees to being with. Then, getting killed (and getting kills) through means as derpy as that is just stupid.
I was so glad they nerfed it. Now you will die for your mistakes, like you should.

Agreed maybe this will make people realize Sprint may not be that bad in Halo 4 .
A very good change. I can’t wait for november 6 to come.
Hell yeah
More proof that this ISN’T Halo Reach 2. and 343 IS listening to the fans. I hope people will trust 343 more now and stop calling this Halo Reach 2.
Halo 4. Winning

Agreed Halo 4 will not have the same mistakes as Reach .

Perhaps, while i am happy about Sprint being nerfed and some other details, there are other things i am still concerned about (the other AAs, loadouts, ranked/social playlists etc).
Though i noticed a trend with 343 with it’s news for Halo 4. They release information that pisses everyone off, then PR damage control and again with -Yoink!- everyone off. I hope people don’t read too much into things and adapt to the news as it comes. We have a long way to go before Halo 4 ships to retailers, things could change then. I know it’s pointless to say the above but it’s something i had to let out.
I liked what they said about this and the changes there doing to make sprint better for good game play …
I still want to see it in game play just to make sure …
i hope you don’t slow down if a team mate shoots you, that’d suck

I have noticed that trend too and that’s why i always tell people to wait for 343 to explain. I for one have faith in 343. The more and more we hear from the actual employees of 343 the more I believe they actually listen and care about the Halo universe.
And I am sure that they tweaked every AA to address the downfalls those AA’s had in Reach and to bring more balance.
A fantastic addition!
And in response to the trend of 343 releasing information that pisses everyone off then doing damage control – there was a NeoGaf post by Frankie that was something along the lines of “We have now released all the information that we believe will warrant this type of reaction, the information released from here on out will most likely please everyone”. Sorry, I couldn’t find the post… maybe someone would be so kind as to link it?
You slow down when getting shot in Reach too you know.
Good. I hated the Sprintdouble-pummel so much, and the running away when near death. Now, you won;t be able to get away all of the time.
