Get rid of the ridiculous spartan charge already

an energy sword welding spartan charge should NOT beat tartarus’ gavel! Spartans don’t even charge with the energy sword, it should not have a ridiculous amount of range and something that is impossible to avoid unless they charge when their reticle is not red, even if you boost out of the way and they spartans charge the air, you still take damage! It’s ridiculously stupid and i’m surprised it hasn’t changed already

Yeah, the Spartan Charge is ridiculous. Their was one time where I was playing on slayer on Molten, and I was up a set of stairs, right? An enemy from all the way down the stairs Spartan charges me up the angled stairs and kills me with his AR.

I said after the beta that the Spartan charge + AR combo would be the new sprint + double melee from halo reach,
and here we are

the lock on, tracking, magnetism and range on it create terrible cheap gameplay and rewards running around the map like idiots

So yeah you can say counter should be made more easier but sc should stay in halo 5. for halo 6 I am okay will either.

Never understood all the hate for spartan charge. I’d guess it accounts for maybe 0.1% of my total deaths in H5.

I’ve stilled played 5 days worth of Arena. I’d say it’s even less of a problem there.

Spartan charge should be removed from ranked play IMO… It’s nothing but a get out jail free card for sprinting and being late on the trigger.

Just force the magnetism to near absolute zero, and slightly increase the delay of the player, and it’s fine.

If you’re hit from the back, you were going to die anyway, but if you’re hit from the front, now you see it coming.

Shouldn’t reward players for being overly aggressive.

I think you’re missing the point. Spartan Charge is a cheap way to get kills. They don’t care if there are ways to counter it; they want it removed entirely.

You sure about the lock on? Because i’ve missed my fair share in the past on my way to complete the commendation.

I hate Spartan Charge like nobody’s business…but I doubt 343 will take it out at this point so unfortunately we are stuck with this awful awful ability. Worst since Armor Lock

Besides achieving the corresponding Spartan Company commendation, I see no use for Spartan Charge. I’d rather run up to someone’s back and assassinate them.

Two points. First I’ve noticed that Spartan Charge has become less prevalent lately, at least in my games. It used to be such a PITA, but I think a lot of the noobs and less skilled players (that I regularly encountered due to my low rank) who over employed it have dropped put. Second, as much as I dislike it too it’s really just an occasional annoyance for more skilled players. Ubernick did a Spartan Charge challenge (not smurfing) and only managed a few feeble kills. So it’s really not a winning strategy to sprint around and SC against anyone except Bronzes. Just annoying as hell when you get caught, and harder to avoid in tight maps like Molten and Overgrowth. It bothers me more to get caught in one of the closets on Molten and get six grenades lobbed in.

Definitely one of the best comment here. It would be interesting for someone to calculate the exact numbers of time he has been killed with Spartan Charge? But unless they hit you in the back, you have all the time in the world to kill the target when coming from the front.

its just preferences really. I being a casual player love to sp and ground pound as its fun to see compititive pkayer get annoyed for that. so I really dont care if it stays or not. I will find my ways to laugh on the compititive crowd and have a good day. :joy:
