2 hrs is to long and 24 hrs is bs that’s way to ******* long you have no right to ban anyone that long just for quitting one or 3 games in one day get rid of it now

Not in total no but it can progress to the point where one quit will result in a ban. And what with the griffball betrayal booting bs, it’s very easy to build up a bad record.

I have 481 hrs played in this game. I REGULARLY accidentally betray and suicide. I have an extremely poor internet connection. I have been booted out of games by the game/xbox.
I have never quit a game. I have recieved, in total, 0 (zero) seconds/minutes/hours of ban time from the almighty ban hammer.
seems to be working just fine for me. Perhaps I’m Just lucky?

There’s actually a fix for this.
Stop quitting.
I don’t quit but my connection will drop about 3 times a day. It scares me every time. So far no ban… yet… but I do not go to quit game ever. I just lag out.

Thats what I don’t get, i’ve disconnected out of 1 game 6 weeks agoish and left 1 social ctf 4 weeks agoish and received a ban. I rarely betray players, intentionally suicide, afk, or disconnect. According to an official post, the system apparently takes into account disconnects and looks for “patterns”. I have several friends who have left 5+ games, accidentally suicide/betray on a regular basis, and they have never gotten banned. The system is very inconsistent. Look throughout the ban forum posts (make sure to check their match history to see if they are lying about their dnfs or not), and you’ll see some liars, but you will also see some with cleaner histories than others getting banned, while others dont. There were also people getting banned for leaving forge, custom games, and campaign. Lets not go into the Grif ball betrayal bans. Not to mention there were some people on reddit who got banned in their first arena game ever from 1 suicide by boosting off the map.
While I do agree that leavers and intentional betrayals/afk/suicides have to be punished, I’m not sure the current system is doing a good job evaluating accidents from intentional, and overall accuracy of the bans. What’s really worse for someone like me who disconnected out of one game due to connection, and left 1 social ctf thinking it was a social playlist so it would be fine like the previous halo installments, is that the ban lengths don’t reset. Next time something like my power goes out, or I accidentally boost off the edge on pegasus trying to get the promethian grenade, those tallies will continue to increase my ban length. All the while some of my friends run around scott free.
I have a good connection and don’t quit games.
