The Matchmaking in Australia is awful. And all of because of Region lock. I can’t find games in BTB, Warzone Assault, & Free-For-All! The only playlist that works is warzone the other playlists i didn’t mention are so slow that only sometimes i get it quick when i’m lucky. And if you guys don’t believe me. Well guess what like i said Warzone assault doesn’t work for me but when i’m in a party especially with american players the playlist suddenly works just fine and there was barely any connection issues especially since i have a good modem to work with. And because i have a good modem i should be abale to connect to american servers just fine but the game won’t let me because i’m in a Australia the Region lock won’t let me.
343i please you MUST remove the region lock in Australia at once so that we Australian’s we good modems can actually play on playlist wz assault, Free for all, BTB etc.
This is pretty much what I tell everyone. I live in west australia. I can’t play any game. Occasionally it let’s me into a regular warzone. I’ve never played BTB or warzone assault by myself. Cause I can’t. I was able to get into a few social Fiesta matches but even that stopped letting me. I can’t play alone cause of region lock. But I join my American friend and boom everything works fine and smooth. Its bull crap. It was worse with MCC.

I am the same, i am struggling JUST to get placement matches and rank. I was able to play a few fiesta games in the past however, now its unplayable. By unplayable i mean, i can search over and over for up to 2 hours with no luck before i give up.
The ONLY playlist that works over 80% of the time is standard warzone. Warzone assault has no chance. All the other arena playlists have stopped working in the last couple weeks, i have to leave my xbox searching while i do things around the house and keep resetting the search. I am a diehard halo fan but only being able to play 1 playlist consistently (warzone) is killing halo 5 for me.

Yeah it sucks. Its just standard warzone for me as well. But even standard warzone is starting to reject me. Which sucks cause I was excited for warzone firefight but might as well forget about that cause I doubt I’d be allowed to play that. Unless I’m with an American player. Wanted to rank in free for all, got one match in but was never able to play it again. So its just the social playlist and standard warzone that works. And they don’t always work either.
Hey from NSW guys, we have similar issues over here but not quite as bad. After 4pm you can find a game in any playlists other than BTB, FFA and warzone assault. Playing by yourself is not worth the effort here cause you wont find a game. Only fix I can suggest which you guys have obviously figured is add as many americans and other australians as you can and just party up, its the best we can do until 343 actually helps. I’m from Western Australia, I can get games all day every day, at Onyx- Champion level in every arena playlist, in Warzone Assault and Warzone, Why? because i have friends in America. Unfortunately guys 343 doesn’t care about you, and doesn’t have the coding ability to put a server selection in the menus, so for the time being you should be looking for friends from the states to play with. HaloLFG.com is a good place to start.
