Care to elaborate on these “hacks” you are speaking of?
And the point of this thread is…? We all hate hackers, they’re annoying. Just report them as cheaters, avoid them as players via the player-review system that Xbox Live has and you won’t have to deal with whatever hacker you played against ever again.

I’ve never played against a “hacker” on any Halo game.

I’m not sure what you mean by “hacking.” It is possible to mod the game with a JTagged Xbox and make your character run fast, jump high, have auto aim, etc, but anyone who does is banned within hours. The number of people who do it online is incredibly few. I doubt you’ve ever run into one.
Host booting by using DDoS attacks is more common by an incredibly large margin and I doubt you’ve even run into someone who can do that.
I’d offer up the idea that you use “hacks” to explain away the fact that many players are much better than you.
players that are good are not hackers. get it right.
Never seen hackers on Halo (online)… Ever.
in my past 7 years playing xbox live i have not seen or heard of anyone hacking because it won’t work your just not good at a game and your complaining about dumb things i mean seriously why make a thread on things that do not happen because i have never seen any modders on halo reach explain
If there’s any “hacking” going on it’s the lag brought on from New Zealanders and their crappy 3rd world internet connections
There are plenty of hackers on Halo as well as other games. In some games they are unplayable due to the constant hackers that are on. I have not run into very many in Halo Reach but they are there. I have been playing SWAT and seen someone flying around on the screen. You would be honestly surprised at what you could find if you just went back and saw the video playback of your matches. I dont claim to be a good player, and I am man enough to admit when I clearly get my rear end handed to me, but some stuff is just crazy. Lag may make it look like hacking, but some stuff done on the game is beyond lag. I however think they have done a decent job of keeping most of them out of the game. You cant sit there and say they dont exist, other wise the talks to people being banned would not come up as much.

I think YOU are the one who needs to have skills. Just because someone is good doesn’t make them a hacker. If you really find someone cheating, then report them or avoid them (via Xbox LIVE player rep system).
If there was hackers, wouldn’t everyone start complaining in the forums? And It seems your the only person complaining.
I know they really suck. They like to jtag (what i like to call jfagg) their xbox! and ruin all the games those stupid -Yoink-!
There are ways to modify ranks but those can be caught rather easily unless you are on a game that isn’t really moderated anymore. So I highly doubt that you found a hacker but on the chance you did just report him/her and allow moderators to deal with it.
Making excuses for your poor performance is not going to make you better at the game. Instead of calling the other guys hackers, maybe you should analyze what you did wrong?

Know how you feel played one game against a clan, the connection was brilliant, one guy clearly was teleporting. (For the record I won top player)

Not always, Bungie/343i have several times had major bans a while back over hacks, theres likely members doing it. Bungie/343i can’t catch everything, most of their bans are automated which is why some people appeal against the bans.
Sometimes when You think someone is Hacking its just Lag you or the host has “bad” Internet Connection Issues!!!
