!!!

Riveting argument.

I’ve pondered your excellently laid out points and I’m going to go with…friendly fire should stay.

If they took friendly fire out, people could spam grenades, power weapons and destroy their team mates vehicles.

I don’t think I want it out.

Friendly fire is so dumb. I just makes the game allot less fun. Score 1 for COD. I swear just about every time I play halo theres somebody trying to betray me or I accidently betray someone somehow, and then I get betrayed over and over and it doesn’t even let me boot them. It makes no sence, unless there just trying to make us mad.

Other points already brought up, but this is a primary argument against it.

Imagine a guy protecting an objective with a shotgun. With friendly fire off, if you time it right, you can stick a teammate, have him get close enough to kill the shottie wielding enemy and your teammate is still alive to then grab the objective. That just sounds completely unfair to the defending team.

Friendly fire should stay. It ensures that people watch their fire and don’t kill their teammates off.

yes we all know the betrayal system has some kinks but I believe the idea was for it to be more realistic. Like in BF3 with bullet drop.

Just to give an amusing example of the horrid betrayal system:

[BTB- Hemorrhage]

I was betrayed by the same player twice within 2 minutes, so when I saw him in a warthog I lobbed a grenade his way. It exploded under the warthog and threw it into me, killing me on impact. It counted as a betrayal on his part and I booted him. Win.

OT: Friendly fire is definitely a necessary part of the game. As stated before, without it we would just spam explosives and area weapons.

In my opinion, friendly fire is fine how it is, the only thing that I wish 343i would get rid of is the ability for your teammates to EMP your vehicles because sometimes people get butthurt when you beat them to it. It’s really irritating having to basically stay in your spawn with the tank because your teammate wont stop blasting it with a plasma pistol.

Getting rid of Friendly fire will Not solve anything. All it will do is force people to become more creative when it comes to being team betrayers. We see this in FF

If you think COD is better, which it is not, then do us all a favor and go play it. You really have no idea what you are talking about. Friendly Fire is turned on to make the game a little more realistic.

Case in point; Do you think the REAL military has friendly fire turned off? No they do not. Bullets kills anyone who is unfortunate enough to be in their way. If that means you head gets blown off, so be it.

Either get over it, or go play your pathetic COD.

It’s a video game it doesn’t have to realistic it should just be fun. Friendly fire is NOT fun and makes the game worse and less enjoyable. Ya it’s real cool getting betrayed for power weapons and having a teammate follow you around taking down your shields during fights. It’s also the best when you’re about to get a perfection and a teammate betrays you.

Go play something else then.

FYI even if friendly fire is off you can still splatter teammates. So let’s break this down. With FF off we can destroy teammates’ vehicles, we can annoy the hell out of them all game, we can stick our team and send them into a group of people, do I have to go on?

The only flaw in friendly fire is getting booted for something trivial like debris from another vehicle landing on someone and griefers who just have to have a certain weapon/vehicle.

Friendly fire is here to stay, so get used to it.

No.

Don’t like betraying team mates? Learn to aim.

Don’t like getting a jerk on your team? Go in with friends / your own team.

Without friendly fire, you could just lob grenades / shoot / do whatever anywhere carelessly with no penalty. Get over it.

Thank you to those that agree, but I think that if FF must stay it should be modified so you can actually boot someone if they betray you instead of only sometimes. It’s the only truly fair way. That way it would be pointless to betray someone unless your goal is to be booted because you sure wont be getting that sniper staring at the “you got booted screen”. I think it would all but unsure that betrayals were done on accident.

That’s funny! I only saw 1 person who agrees with you. And his arguement isn’t even valid.

Epic fail from a troll.
