Yup. They still have a lot of job postings, created in the last several months, regarding the future of Halo. One such job posting is a Monetization Designer. It’s possible they don’t have, or didn’t have someone with the experience to carry out 343i’s vision. Unfortunately, it’s up to someone else to step into that position, even if it’s not their job title, any carry out the duties required for success. And maybe it’s multiple employees needed to step up. It seems like they don’t have enough employees to fulfill the mission, or they are trying to pull additional in to grow. Either way, not enough employees hurts the franchise because things won’t get done in a timely manner, and hiring new employees slows things down because of the learning curve, unless they are hiring from within, in which it creates another empty slot for the position that was left. Anyway.

FOMO only affects it if you let it.

Don’t be a slave to a mechanic.

Or, get rid of the mechanic and make the experience better for everyone? Why are you advocating for a bad system?

That would be nice, but I also think that if they made the storefront larger they could show off more items for, possibly cheaper prices and thus make more money if they don’t limit time on certain items, if you have no limit on when to buy certain popular items that a lot of people like people will save up money for those items, and if you have a larger store front you can show off more of those items instead of the current storefront we have i htink the store should be more like the HCS page where you have multiple options and a good amount of them the weekly and other featured pages could remain and possibly even be on a rotation…

Lol because it’s funnier to see players force themselves to scramble to fix something they can’t fix rather than exercise a little bit of that free will they have and just choose not to purchase something?

agreed like for example making more items for less.

So because you’re vindictive and want the experience to be bad for everyone because it’s funny. Got it.

Oh so you enjoy preying on people through their weaknesess?

Lmfao maybe you missed the part about ā€œfree willā€ and ā€œchoosingā€ not to participate?

Almost as if you’re enabling these weaknesses under the pretense that people have absolutely no control rather than promoting for players to exercise a little self control.

As someone who dropped $600 of his life savings when he was unemployed on CSGO keys in 2013, it didn’t stop till I told myself ā€œenough was enoughā€. Not because they changed the system due to backlash lmfao

isn’t enabling just as bad as having?

Yeah which is why I’m shocked you’re not advocating for players to just take a step back and exercise some self control to overcome the FOMO.

Instead advocating to give into it in a healthier cheaper manner with a change to the store.

I’m trying to reach a compromise, because I’m fairly certain they will never remove the store… So might as well make the best of it making it fairer for both parties.

The experience is inherently worse for everyone. Those that do participate are price gouged and pressured to accomplish everything within the week, causing them to play selfishly and ruin matches for everyone.

Those who choose not to participate are locked out of aesthetics that the enablers keep purchasing, and have to deal with playing with people who are only playing selfishly.

The experience is worse for everyone. Also, we can’t change people, but we CAN force the system to change. Without the system changing, the naive and those with no money sense or need for money will keep making the entire game worse for everyone.

I think compromise is the only way.

But part of compromise also means encouraging players not to give into FOMO. Again, these psychological aspects are present in almost every market that exists in our world. It’s entirely possible to overcome it with human will

I also stated that while having a bigger store they should remove FOMO. Though not in those exact words, either you missed that or you only read what you want to read.

I second this. This system hurts my soul

And DON’T use playlists as timed events to promote FOMO, either! Just let us play them when we want!

Ah that’s a good point too, while I don’t have a problem with events the fact that some very popular playlists are locked behind them will be a problem. If it stays that way
