It’s time to retire the challenges. All they have ever done is promote people being idiots. Daily challenges that make people vote trash maps in FF and weekly challenges that promote idling. I’ll be seeing people trying to idle the damn weekly all week long now instead of actually playing, since 343 never really did anything about it. Don’t change the damn payouts or anything to only award those who actually play. That’d make too much sense.
Daily and Weekly challenges are hard coded into both the game and servers. To remove challenges, part of the coding would need to be removed and some altered. Since Halo Reach is no longer supported it would be pointless to even remove them. 343 have their mind set on future projects and are not monitoring past games (specially ones they didn’t even develop).

Every project they’ve done so far has been horrible and broken. People have put YEARS of playtime on Reach. Abandoning it only ensures less people buy future games.

Most game developers abandon their old games, there’s just no point hiring people to monitor it when they could spend the money developing new games and hiring people for that reason. Well thats my theory, probably somert else.
challenges are great, well when its for the game needing exp, it wouldnt really work in h2 or h3, would be cool tho
Challenges is a part of halo. it just can not be removed. it gives you boosts of xp so you can reach the rank you always wanted faster. i would not be my rank without them.
