Get Rid of Active Camo

Get rid of Active Camo. Easy. No need for the explanation.

And what are your reasons again…? If you are going to to creative criticism at least post your reasons why.

It over powers people who like to camp with power weapons.

Hey, at least you gave a reason.

Id prefer we get rid of the AA and make it a piece of equipment you can pick up like in Halos CE-3. It would be more balanced, and would also guarantee that only one person would have camo at a time. Plus, if it works like it did in previous games, you would actually be able to walk around with it without having it fading out.

One time use, that’s it. If you want to use it again you have to find it on the map again.

It’s honestly when it’s used on Big Team in flux with the Sniper or DMR from across the map I haven’t encountered much people abusing it though.

I was hoping it would be an ordinance drop like speed boost and over shields.

I absolutely hate active camo and jet pack. In a first person shooter both first reaction and height advantages are important. To get either of those every time because of an ability you spawn with is ridiculous in my opinion.

How about no. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it needs to go.
Learn how to combat it…it really isn’t hard to see them.

I hate it when a problem is presented and someone else responds with “deal with it”. Granted OP didn’t even bother to explain why this is a problem but how do we help improve the game if this is the type of response we get every time?

that comment nailed it…pretty sure i didnt have to break it down in an explanation. But if you need one, there it is.

I had this idea for Halo 5…

Get rid of camo as an AA, and turn it back into powerup like overshield, speed boost, damage boost etc. It wouldn’t deafen people and there wouldn’t be a radar jammer. Classic camo.

Get rid of the stealth armor mod and combine it with a radar jammer making it a new armor ability. It would be more like Reach’s radar jammer in that all moving dots are red, making it easier to travel without giving yourself away, and it would also make it harder to see with promethean vision but WON’T leave them completely invisible behind walls.

even if you know where they are the auto aim wont work for you but it will for them effectively allowing them to get an easy 1st shot in the fight also when they crouch perfectly still the dots do not even show up on the radar and they are harder to see like wtf? also dont get me started on camo snipers…

IMO Active camo, jet pack, and Promethean vision should not be armor abilities in the first place.

This.

And this.

Invisibility at will, seeing through walls and flying around is completely ridiculous in my opinion. Keep that stuff for campaign and Spops.

AAs should be equipment. Simple as that.

Don’t be so butthurt. Its the only thing I use

Active camo will never be balanced as an AA.

It needs to be a map pickup.

I agree it should be a pickup but honestly from my own experience Campers who use it dont tend to abuse it.

If they do, my team and I will purposely call him out and kill only him till he finally stops and that always works :stuck_out_tongue:

I love it as an AA and it’s either it or thrusters when it comes to my loadouts. Sure it might be annoying that you’re killed by a camo user when you could have stood a chance had they been visible, but unless you have a low graphic TV, don’t use your scanners, or have bad eyesight, your deaths via camo users should be inferior to your normal sources of death (pardon me for my run on sentence).

Getting rid of it would just be next to ridiculous as it’s already been incorporated into canon as an AA, heck AAs are now canon so I highly doubt they’ll be going for the rest of Halo’s existence.

Besides, there really isn’t much else to say as threads like this are expectable. People complained about camo being OP, too weak, or in need of removal in past Halos when it was a power up.

Look, the best we can hope from 343i in the future is that they divide Halo multiplayer into War Games and Classic. Therefore, people can drift between what they like from classic Halo and new gen Halo.

well they might as well. I’m not one of those people who complain on how campers use it because it’s not hard for me to spot a camo user. I hate AC now because of how useless they made it for people like me who like to use it to stalk/sneak up on people killing them quietly. At least in reach the dots were red so that the enemy had to guess which dot was you on his/her radar. Now the damn thing makes these little blue dots pop up while yours is still red. How is that even beneficial towards the user?

Now somehow I occasionally run into a person on the other team who can use camo without having those blue dots. I don’t know how they manage to do this and it’s not like I’m lagging. Sometimes when I’m playing with a friend we happen upon a person doing this “glitch” and both of us notice it happening.

I miss the days when power ups were still around and active camo was still useful. All I see people using it for now is when they are across the map with a sniper thinking they are being sneaky.
