150 VP bosses have no place in warzone. It makes no sense that one team can take Warden Eternal down to 1% health and the other team can hit him once and take all 150 points. If one team take out two or more legendaries in one game they basically secured the win. In my opinion the game shouldn’t come down to who can pump the most ammo into the bullet sponges. Too often does a warzone game end in a few minutes because one team managed to take down two+ legendaries, making it impossible (yes, literally impossible) for the other team to mount a comeback. It’s not over yet, we can still destroy the enemy core! No Palmer, no we can’t.
Instead of placing these sponges in the same exact place during every game, we should have more smaller bosses. We need more Ghost Marauders, Elite Primes, Banshee Squadrons, Hunters, Hydra Soldiers, and Knight Luminaries. For every 150 VP legendary that gets removed, we could get 6 25 VP enemies. Think of the possibilities; people would be scattered across the map, actually having 1v1 fights with AI enemies, instead of the entire team surrounding a legendary and endlessly pumping bullets into it. Every member of the team would be valuable because anyone would be capable of taking out a boss (as opposed to legendaries, which frankly come down to luck and who gets the last shot.) Every game would be close because there are no legendaries to give one team a clear edge. Warzone could finally be balanced.
The advantage of legendary bosses are that so many people run to then leaving there bases open, you have an organised team together and you can take the bases and destroy the core in one fell swoop and plus when the enemy are all focused on a boss you can pick um off for easy kills to boost your comendations
I think all the bosses in the early part of the game should be no more than 50 points. the final boss at end of the game being 100. But thats just me. the game is so much more fun when the games are close point wise and both teams are really battling it out to the end. That doesn’t happen very often.

I have tried that countless times, although my team focuses on the boss instead of other bases. I have been able to take over a base a few times, but usually as I get all the marines killed 2-3 of the enemy players come to keep the base secure and kill me in a matter of seconds.
I totally agree the 150 point jumps completely ruins Warzone and makes the match have no flow. Especially on stormbreak or whatever the snow one is called, whoever gets the boss at the beginning wins. Hands down. 95% of the time when a team rushes in and magically 3 shots Lochagos its just game over, no reason to play really. Then there are also those moments where a match may even be close but then whoever kills that warden at the end is automatically put 150 points in the lead and the score is like 750-900 then you have this awkward amount of time where you are just killing each other but that team is obviously going to win in a couple minutes so what’s even the point of playing anymore.
actully, it gives your team the ability to (half attack the 150 the others secure bases.) because all the enemy team will be trying to murder the 150. But you have a 50 percent chance of destroying the enemy core. as one time it was 704 - 990 and we secured the bases and destroyed the enemy core.

The magic is holding onto those splinter grenades the Soldiers drop. Two of those can cripple Locagos and even kill him.

I would have hated to been the team that got so close and then lose like that
They should have it set up where the boss has two health bars. One for each team and they can only see their own health bar. Whoever depletes the bosses health first wins.

Story of my life. Brofist…
I do enjoy the strategic elements of warzone. The boss thing is not perfect, but i am fine with it. To the victor go the spoils.
I don’t like it being the last person to get the shot. I feel if you just use a weapon that fires auto. Like the assault rifle, it will increase your chance of getting the final shot, even though your really not doing any of the damage. Points should be split by damage done, then bonus points for the last shot.
I think the legendary bosses are a necessary part of warzone. The only problem is that the team that gets the kill is random, unfair, or OP.
Random- Both teams are destroying the same boss and whoever happened to get the last shot gets the kill.
Unfair- One team does all the work on a boss just when one random enemy shoots across the map with a magnum to get a lucky killshot.
OP- The spawing of some bosses are in such a bad location that it’s hard or impossible for one team to get. I believe all bosses should spawn in the middle of everything. That way all teams have a chance of getting it; but when the warden spawns behind the garage on ARC, whoever has the garage has a major advantage. Not fair at all for the enemy team.
In the end though. For a first time go-round on a new major gametype like warzone, I think 343 did a great job. They just need to take notes and make large improvements for the H6 version.
I have and shall keep saying the solution is not to lowered the score not only for it but ALL of them but the increase the “TO WIN” score.
Would meant the aliens over all value would be less be because of the possible long game more people would have a chance to use hight REQ weapons and vehicle for longer. Teams would still be to kill aliens to stop them killing players but capturing bases and taking out the core would be more important, player will not abandon a base just to kill an alien?
All 343 would need to do it alter ONE number and replace 1000 with … 1500 !?

They could change the score or make another game type that has a larger score that last longer

To your last point I think having the bosses in a more difficult location (the other side of the garage for example) is the only way to counter the first two points. Having bosses out in the open visible to all or most of the map is what leads to the first two situations. You don’t want random people getting the last shot from across the map or just having it come down to two teams whaling on it hoping to get the last hit then access to the boss needs to be limited.
so everyone here that is complaining about 150 point bosses is mad because last shot killing him is unfair?

yes it makes sense that a team can do 99% of damage to a legendary then the other team finishes the last 1%. This is a competitive killing game, whether it be an enemy spartan, grunt AI, or legendary boss, whoever lands the last shot gets the kill, and whoever gets the kill is rewarded. if it makes you happier 343 could implement the medal “warden assist!” for those sad people who do damage to him but the enemy team gets the kill. Boo hoo, you aren’t rewarded for effort, you are rewarded for results. Getting warden to 99% dead is all effort, that last shot that kills him is the reward.
I will say that in fact, It is not over yet, you CAN still destroy the enemy core! I’ve done it plenty of times when my team is not getting the legendary kills. people need to stop crying about “muh 99% damage on warden and not getting muh kill”. If your team is unable to control the map (armories and garage) and also not secure legendary take downs your team is simply the worse team. if you are not getting the legendary take downs warzone is forgiving enough to give you another option to win the game: destroy the enemy core or win off of point income off of 2 armories vs enemy 1 garage. My response to all the people complaining about this: Git Good

This whole post grinds my gears. like another person said, get locagos with those splinter grenades you get from your armory, it’s really simple. so what? the enemy team got 150 points in the first 2 minutes of the game? that leaves the game at 170(ish) to 20(ish). capture the fortress, boom easy map control on stormbreak. push the enemy core? is the fact that they got the first boss in 2 minutes so clear that they are a better team? no. awkward moment when it is 750-900? just play the remainder and have fun even though you may lose. but remember “this isn’t over yet, we can still destroy the enemy core.”
I like the idea of randomized spawning of much more AI bosses for less points per boss. Having three wardens that spawn in different locals at once for 50vp each at the end can be a nice compromise to the current style.
I personally disagree, ive been apart of many games were we lost two legendary bosses and still won because we owned two or more bases. With two bases we were earning more points a kill, since we dominated the lesser bosses we made a comback and won.
