get over it!

Halo is not as great as you remember. Your nostalgia for Halo 2 and 3 is not for the games. It’s for the time spent with friends and that moment in your life. MCC can not bring that back. You’ve grown older. So have the people in your life. You have more responsibilities and less free time. As do your friends! There are also more games to choose from to play. Halo 2 and 3 are the same as they were. Debate the details and matchmaking problems, but in the end, they are still the same game. It’s the world that has changed. Not the games. I have come to terms with it. I thought it was going to be amazing with Halo 2 coming back, but I realized it wasn’t the game I longed for. It was playing with my friends online and being care free again. I’m not a 15 year old high school student any more. I’m married and work full time. I’m glad the game is back, but it wont fulfill what’s missing. A game with friends and bsing around is what I miss.

I’m with ya man! I hope the party system gets fixed too

Rose tinted nostalgia glasses.

Halo 1-3 are just as great to me now as they were back then. I never stopped playing Halo 3 on the 360. I played it for 7 years straight and now play it on my xbox one. Would have done the same if Halo 2 servers did not get pulled in 2010.

Games are great with friends but Halo 1-3 are still great alone as well and just as I remember them.

Like a boss!!

Very true. They were still good games tho. I still enjoy playing them but they are 10 years old

I didn’t have friends. So no, it wasn’t good because I played with friends, it was good because it was good. Nobody has even said that the games aren’t as good as they remembered, everyone is complaining about the awful bugs, server issues and the disgustingly unprofessional way 343 and Microsoft has handled this mess.

GreatJusticeZig speaks for everybody, don’t ya know?

Admitting mistakes and working towards fixing them and compensating your consumers is a very professional way to handle thing dumb -Yoink!-

What I don’t get is what do you get from defending a company that only wanted your money not your sympathies you are literally defending a con artist

Actually, when it works it’s pretty great!

Back in the day a lot of people complained about the Halo 2 campaign but I really liked it, I thought it was a great middle story. Didn’t like ending the game as the Arbiter but other than that the campaign was fantastic. Some questionable level design for sure but the combat still stands up today.

The multiplayer was great back in the day but a bit dated now.

I’m not a purist, I like change and progress. I still play Halo 4 multiplayer. I find Halo 3 to be a bit too slow for my tastes.

Maybe in your case. I’ve put plenty of hours into MCC and CE through 3 play just as well as I remember.

I agree. I havent played Reach with my friends for a couple of years and I looked into my save files and found a few photos that we did for our shenanigans and I looked at it with fondness say “damn those were fun times”

My friends came back to play this game. It was the bugs and broken MM and party system that sent them away again. I enjoy the gameplay as much as I ever did You’re right we wouldn’t play as much but if it wasn’t for that launch I’d be playing with my old team again.

You cant blame everything on nostalgia.

My friend and I had a laugh about how much we romanticized Halo 2 about a month after MCC released. We realized that mechanically, Halo 4 is the best Halo ever made.

Yeah because nostalgia broke the game.

Your partialy right. My lame friends have moved/ foolishly started families and are thus no longer around to play. They left, I hope they come back. Im stll here, I never left.
