Genuine Oops, chucked out of FF for the first time

Feel awful;

OK, I had some idiot trying to beat/shoot the cr@p out of me for no reason in the middle of a round. I tried to get away but unfortunately splatted him/her in doing so.

Five minutes and the next round later, in the thick of a firefight, I was trying to get position when another teammate (not sure if the same one or not) got splatted again. Instantly I was booted from the match.

I try to play a sporting fair game, and this is the first time this has happened to me. How often doe this sort of thing occur?

That’s rough OP. It hasn’t happened to me yet, but I have definitely accidentally ran over a team mate once or twice. Sorry Spartans.

That is unfortunate, but if they changed it so that you can’t be booted for a splatter, then it would be abused by jerks like the guy who chased you around.

I feel like splatter damage should be turned down some for WarzoneFF. It’s only happened to me a few times, but there are some players that like to intentionally try to get splattered.
It’s not very common, but it happens.
I feel like people definitely did it more in past Halo games. Something like they got angry at you for taking the Scorpion or Wraith they wanted.
All we can do is try to be wary of our teammates when driving, as we should.

Depends some times people seem to purposely dive in front of me at times trying to get one of us killed. I’ve mainly noticed it with players that have already got a betray on their belt and some guy is obviously rushing in front trying to just get the boot.

An an indication to me that they wanted to boot is if you get booted instantly cause I think most people would give it some thought.

Well, your officially had your first boot. it happens, and don’t get to upset, it’s not that big of a deal. lol

Believe me, I’ve been booted for many reasons, most of them goofy things though :slight_smile:

Thanks to all for the posts, makes me realise I’m not alone in this. I’ve no doubt that the first person who got splatted was trying to bait me into something, but no idea what or why so I’ll try to not worry about it. Just demonstrates that there are ‘all sorts’ in the world I guess!

That’s a very good point, and one I agree with entirely.

Again a good point, and one I try to live by, hence my feeling a tad awkward about what happened.

Thanks all for your honest, supportive comments. With all the comments I read on the forum about trolling and the like you’ve given me some assurance that there are jolly decent players out there.

Best regards,

I got pretty pissed about that one time too;

I was playing warzone, and I was having the game of my life. Top of the leaderboard with kills in the high 40’s, we were up by 500 points, and had all three bases captured. During our assault on their core, I barely nicked my teammate with my ghost and he got splattered. After a few seconds, I was kicked from the game. The real kicker is that he was the only time I betrayed anyone in that match.
