I did this so-lo on legendary and I had the same problem but I didn’t die that much. On this part, you have to stop a couple of times to shoot then continue sprinting down instead of ignoring the all of the enemies.

I did it on legendary a week ago. I died a few times but the key is to just shoot enough to keep them from consistently hitting you while maintaining momentum.
I’ll just do it co-op, than hope after doing the sprint part.
Teamates leaving returns it to solo.

It’s because I can’t kill the soldiers fast enough.
And get killed mid air, about half way down everytime.
I never run into too much trouble. The enemies on there are intentionally weaker than normal so you can kill them easier while you run down.
Too fast enemies kill you.
Too slow map kills you.
Jumping over them also helps.
Take it easy and take advantage of the free ammo you keep getting dropped on you on the way down. It took me awhile but it does help to take your time.
Have done all the campaign solo and all the achievements that are possible solo. I remember that mission well but it only took like 5 tries.
