Anyone else feel alittle underwhelmed by the E3 trailer? It looked like something call of duty would do, very scripted, minimal shooting and a bunch of explosions. I excepted something epic! Like a bigger warzone this area with a lot of action. So I wonder if halo 5 is just gonna be another generic shooter or was it just the trailer?
Frank O’Connor stated that the level they showed was purposely more linear because showing how many ways to finish a level would tricky. If you watch the new Sprint episodes they state they want very little scripted scenes and they want the player to actually play the game.
Yet, another person grasping straws. How often are E3 trailers not scripted? They are demo’s not the actual game. They are played over and over to happen an exact way so you don’t get on the stage and look like an idiot the way that Nintendo guy did when he way doing the demo for Skyward Sword.
I mean…All trailers are scripted. They are supposed to show off parts of the game, while not showing off the best suprises.

Yes but this is not a valid excuse for them to present the MEDIOCRITY that Halo 5 was in E3.

uhm…because you are supposed to see these yourself while playing? I’m pretty sure thats what games are about.
I was underwhelmed by the campaign demo at E3, but it doesn’t shake my faith that the full game will be fantastic. E3 demos - well, demos in general - need to be scripted and linear so the audience can easily understand what’s going on, and get a good showcase of different elements in the game. I think it could have been a better presentation, but it doesn’t worry me at all for the final game.

Still…thats why not showing to much in a trailer…thats what most movie trailer doing wrong right now.

Haha. I was confused
I’m actually relieved they didn’t get too revealing this time around. I hope they keep this up and just focus mainly on revealing Warzone and other mp stuff.
