Generally i want to see chief's face but...

Generally i want to see chief’s face but , i dont understand why almost everyone doesn’t want to see it. They say it will change their outlook on that character and im wondering how? It doesnt make sense to me at all i mean ever since they teased taking his helmet off in halo 1 I wanted to see the face that was hidden underneath that green protective helmet.

It keeps his identity in my opinion. Seeing Johns face would probably just make it harder for me to see him as a Spartan. I’d rather be able to explore a character with thoughts rather than show and tell. And hiding his face and exploring his past makes it a much better experience.

Bungie wanted you to think it was you. Or someone you wanted it to be.

That would be ruined if they reveal the face. Imagine Master Chief looking like this guy > Ermahgerd!

That has been done already. He is an established character with established facial features and a past, it’s about time we see his face.

i understand that but they already gave him a name and so much personality just no face i mean it didnt change my opinion about none of the other spartans on reach. lol thats a funny picture but i doubt his face would be stupid looking.

this works for me

lol that would be fine with me

Wont it seem a bit cliche to see his face near the end of the trilogy? What I’d like 343i to do is to connect what John has as a Spartan to those around him whilst maintain his bit of ambiguity.

I’d prefer they didn’t show his face. It allows the player to be creative/imaginative as to who the Chief looks like. Plus, the way they’ve described him isn’t really what a ton of people expect him to look like.

Someone described him as having pale-white skin, somewhat reddish hair and crooked teeth during his childhood. Google Image search Dash Rendar from Star Wars and picture that with pale-white skin.

No. Even Darth Vader was unmasked in the end and we finally got to see his humanity.

Usually yes, but skin color and hair color (I doubt the Chief dyes his hair lol) never change. Especially since he’s been wearing the armor for so long.

I could never get into Star Wars, but even then I still think that Darth Vader had strong connections to Luke before his Face was revealed. Like I said before, I like to imagine the characters humane features given what I know about him rather then just seeing his face and saying “yup he’s human alright.”

But thats just you , what about the creators of the game they probably wanna give him a face so your just out of luck huh.

No thanks.
I already have how he looks in my mind and seeing another persons rendition of how John looks would ruin it for me. It would be awkward to see him differently from how I have him set in my mind.

Me neither, although I understand why some people want to see his face.

How do you see the chief?

You don’t have to be a -Yoink- about it. If they don’t want to give him a face they wont. Maybe you’re out of luck?
