General talking about multiplayer

I know there are thousands of topics about multiplayer and so. But I want to make general topic for multiplayer of Halo 4 so everything from new ideas to map remaking requests would be in one place.

Feel free to explain your ideas for making Halo 4’s multiplayer even better! :slight_smile:

I have quite simple idea abount matchmaking. There should be music while you are searching for players for matches. When you start searching players, theme music will vanish and all you hear is quietness. In my opinion it is so boring to wait for finding players in silence. Listening music makes your waiting more comfortable. There is not reason to play music is there?

Another idea is also about music. Wouldn’t it be nice if there would also be some music in multiplayer. Like in some cases. For example in team deathmatch when winner team gets 40/50 kills music starts playing. That would make great atmosphere for the last push!

I’d love music in multiplayer, Assassin’s Creed multiplayer has it, and is glorious, especially the chase music.

Music would be nice, but it’s easy enough to set up a link to your PC and play music through windows media center.

I have several ideas for Halo 4’s multiplayer, but I’ll save most of those for another day. Today, one thing I’d like to see is the integration of Firefight voices into multiplayer. It’s a lot of fun in Gears, and it would be a cool option for future Halo titles.

I’d like music in multiplayer, maybe some quiet background music like Reach’s firefight.

The biggest, bestest forge the world has ever seen!

Customization for Elites, forerunners or whatever the hell the other model-things will be.

This with halo 3’s fun in customs would make me a very happy man.

i think some of these ideas are great like music in multiplayer and different voices for firefight or multiplayer but i would like a customization option to be able to turn these off for players who get annoyed or dont like it

That’s true indeed. Everything should be possible to turn off if somebody wants to. Like assassinations. I love them a lot! But I see many people complaining about them and saying they must be removed because of accidents. Solution: Be able to turn them off :wink:

A Built-in Playlist system would be awesome. The Dashboard often takes too long, and it would be nice to have the entire soundtrack from Halo 4 (And hopefully the other Halos), available to place in any situation you want.

For instance, you should be able to pick playlists to play during que’s, and set your own “Main menu playlists” etc.

Some options you should have is:

Playlists per Multiplayer Map

Playlists per Multiplayer Gametype

Playlists triggers (Weapon/vehicle Pickups, Time Limit almost up, x% Score earned, etc.)

You could make it so on Zanzibar it plays a shuffled playlist of user-selected music, but if you get in the Gauss Hog it fades into playing Rock Anthem for Saving the World. When the Hog blows up or you exit, it fades into a song from your playlist.

You should be able to que when a song fades out and changes, things like every x-minutes, when the song is over, or whenever the player dies.

That sounds quite complicated to make.

quiet ambient music would be fine for mp.

Symmetrical maps!

Reach’s maps were so poor. I miss the good old symmetrical(ish) maps. They were so much more fun. Blood Gulch etc…

For multiplayer I would like for them to add the feature where there’s a 10 second or so countdown before the game starts letting you see where you’re gonna spawn and letting you prep a little bit, the game winning killcam like in cod and some type of an in-game leader board too.

Can’t agree more! All of the original maps (I think) were entirely same as the places in campaign and that was absolutely unacceptable. That’s why I have gotten bored of these mp maps. You have played hours of campaign and then you play multiplayer in the same places where you was in campaign. Also low amount of differend maps was disappointment. There was only 9 + 5 (5 same themed) maps.

And unsymmetrical maps like in reach are really unbalanced. There should be both symmetrical and unsymmetrical maps.

I hope they also improve Invasion for Halo 4. That was really nice gametype from Reach and it should evolve more deeper! :slight_smile: It also should be 8v8 gametype because 6v6 doens’t feel so “invasion” like game developers probably wanted it to feel. What do you think guys? :slight_smile:
