First time posting here and if i am posting in the wrong spot for this please let me know/move thread.
This is just a list of things I personally do not like about the Halo 5 experience
I am by no means the best PvP player and really dont care i just like the experience and these few things are really bugging me (almost to the point of playing Halo 4 PvP instead)
warzone is P2P borderline P2W
(obviously people that buy REQ packs are going to get better gear/vehicles easier)
weapons feel…plastic?
the lack of kill cam is disappointing (dying out of nowhere and didnt see where it came from)
it encourages crouch camping and spawn killing
smart link is ADS, i dont care what anyone says.
the best part about halo was understanding that you have futuristic armor with AI and augmented visual systems
so people that raged about shields and hip fire and how scopes work (in the old halos) didnt understand that the weapon is showing the scoped view from the weapon’s point of view in your HUD
on the same topic the “De-Scoping” was done poorly
i am used to the descope mechanic because it was in earlier halos
however the sudden change in view without an animation disorients too often
i can understand ACTUAL scoped weapons (BR variants/DMR/Snipers) de-scoping but you should not be de scoped on ADS weapons or sights (standard BR sight) because they do not have enough range to justify using them just to be descoped
and please tell me there is an option to turn off all the “beeps” and “chirps” in the game
if there is a way to mute the “call outs” and NPC chatter in arena/warzone please let me know
All valid points. I’d like to add a few:
Warzone Camping: After playing warzone for a decent amount of time to get a sense of how it plays, I’m really disappointed in it at the moment. I’ve noticed that once you control the central base in the map, it’s virtually impossible for the other team to take it back once it’s been established as a spawn point. It would take your entire team to overrun the base simultaneously for you to have a chance at it, and let’s be honest, coordinating a full team assault in halo is never going to happen. This leaves the campers every opportunity to stay inside and pick attackers off one by one as they try in vain to rush the base with little cover available outside. The other team can still win by killing the bosses outside, but your not getting the kills/battle experiences you’re used to in Halo, and whether you’re the base camper or the poor base attacker, the lack of the halo experience will get frustrating very quickly.
Spawn Killing: Whether playing arena or warzone, I’ve also noticed how Halo just can’t seem to figure out how to protect players spawning in. I was hoping it would be different, but it isn’t. No more to say here.
No Spawning on Friends/Teammates: This is insane to me. How are you not allowed to spawn on your friends/teammates? Spawning back at the base is infuriating. You want to play with your friends, that’s why many of us get these games. This doesn’t allow you to do that, since you’re always separated on the battlefield. By the time you find your friends, it’s usually too late for them, they’re dead and are now rushing to find you. The time that it takes to get back in the action is another reason why base camping is so easy in Halo. There simply isn’t enough constant pressure on the base (and it’s camping inhabitants) for it to fall, simple as that.

agreed 1000% on the spawns, i have played games of swat where i got triple kills and killing sprees on the same person spawning in the spot i killed them.
and of course i have had my share of spawn killing sprees.
the maps favor vertical gameplay
everything feels hardcore MLG pro esports status.
aiming and radars should be normalized for regular playlists and custom games/championship playlists should have the “altered” aim and smaller radars
