Figured I’d start the topic to see what people think about weapon tunings and mechanics of the game!
My first impression after playing my first dozen matches today is that I absolutely love it! Assault Rifle feels good, Battle Rifle feels good, love the new Commando weapon, new pistol is a little underpowered (to be expected) but has that good precision for headshots. I do think the rocket launcher’s blast radius could get turned down a tad. The grenades have a good bounce to them and love the new maps.
I will admit that I took a sizeable break from Halo after Halo 5’s release. Too many changes for me. Holding LT to aim down sights, vaulting over ledges, having a new charge ability that was an instant kill, all things that made me kinda lose interest. I picked up Game Pass this last summer and decided to run through the campaign again and I’m glad I did, got a refresh on the story and got a little more comfortable with all the changes in gameplay. >>Jumping into Halo Infinite, I love what they did with the controls. It feels like they brought it back to more of a Halo 3 vibe but still managed to hold onto sprint and made vaulting ledges just an automatic thing.
Love the game so far!
Still have to have melee as B btw, some things you just can’t change haha
i am only able to play the training and weapon drills because my work has me scheduled to work late PAST the times the multiplayer is active. but from what i have played of the training mode i am very excited and loving every second of it, the weapons are cool, the sprinting feels great, the jumping doesnt feel overwhelming, and overall just the feel and look of the game is mind blowing. i honestly cant say enough about halo infinite that i love because they do alot of things just amazingly. there are of course a few things i would like to see changed like the outlines on the weapons, the bots, and from i have seen in screenshots the vehicles as well. i can kinda see why they did it that way but its honestly a distraction that i can do without. i think they should add just a few more maps for the arena training mode with some vehicles because that way people like me can actually get a bigger taste of the game but its not huge ordeal. i am hoping that this will bring the halo community back together because honestly right now we need to be united and standing together to support a franchise we all love dearly. i have see all the complaints with halo 4 and halo 5, and i have seen the expectations people have for infinite and so far i think it will exceed those expectations but im hoping it will be received well enough to undo some of the hate 343I has gotten from the community. overall great game so far even if i cant enjoy or experience multiplayer mode.
