I could care less if the player is male, female, or a young age, if they’re good they’re good. I was at a local Overwatch tournament the other day and a 6 year old beat a 16 year old in a 1v1… a SIX year old. Don’t always judge a book by its cover.

While that may be true, I feel like the OP made too many assumptions, and ended up with a ‘causation vs. correlation’ scenario. First, he assumes that the entire enemy team is female, based on some criteria which isn’t specified. Then, he goes on to say that it was because the enemy team was female and winning that his teammates left. As far as I’m concerned, gender had nothing to do with the quitting teammates. The more likely situation is that his team was composed of the type of people who think “muh precious KD! nooooooo!” and ditched as soon as the match looked like it was going south.

Cause you can be a guy and still use the female model, and vice versa. Nevertheless, I’m not really sure I understand the entire purpose of this thread. Yes, it is quite apparent that girls do play Halo, and hell I’m not even sure there was an argument against that in the first place.
Story seems implausible to me. Core gaming is still pretty male dominated numbers wise, but he manages to get in a BTB game with a perfect 8v8 split of Males and Females, whom all end up on gender segregated teams.

You do realise the Unggoy at the other end of the room can’t tell what gender you are, but are still bricking it nonetheless.
Wasn’t there a thing about the Reach Female models having smaller hitboxes?
A lot of the higher level players I’ve come across use the Female model, some of them male some of them female. idk most of the time because barely anyone uses mics outside of party chat, and I couldn’t be brought to care regardless.
More people playing Reach means more people keeping it alive so that’s a net positive to me.

I can agree the gender gap in video games is apparent… just maybe not in your situation. You haven’t provided any evidence or quotes tat the other team were female or that your team were male, You haven’t even linked the game. Most of the time this ‘gap’ occurs through men constantly trying to pick up girls with stupid amounts of flirting. Maybe if you are going to bring a discussion on this controversial topic, expand your reasoning and evidense, especially if your are trying to prove a point.
