Do you think that 343 will have their big reveal for Halo 5 at GDC 2014, much like how they had it Halo 4? This would kinda make sense for them to do that, though maybe have a trailer at the VGA’s this year.
That’s what I’m thinking. Another teaser then a trailer in '14.
I don’t know if you remember what happened back in 2012 of the VGA’s, but every one had their hopes up on here that 343 would show off a trailer. Lets just say after the VGA’s it was not pretty on here. I would hope that 343 would show off something either at GDC or VGA’s but don’t get your hopes up.

True, you are right in those aspects, I’m hoping something will happen at the VGA’s since they’ve said nothing about the game up to this point and with Halo 4 this time of year we knew a couple things. You’re probably right, but let’s keep that glimmer of hope in our hears, but don’t let it become a blazing sun of blinded hype.

Don’t expect to hear much other than stuff that will be shown at the Microsoft Spring Showcase, where they will most likely show off some of the new technology coming to Xbox One and Halo 5. I was lucky to be invited when they did show off Halo 4 in it’s beta form.
Although, they could very well show off something before hand like your saying. I know for Halofest we got a cool concept art trailer, and if you think about it, it would make Xbox One sales go up!
I hope they release at least a concept art trailer like they did with Halo 4, it would make the waiting for some info and the first look at Halo 5 less painful.
I think we’re still in for another CGI/not-in-game trailer that will actually reveal the name of the game. That can happen at any time, really, because it doesn’t matter how much work has been done on the actual game (no in game stuff will be shown anyway). I think a good time to have a reveal trailer would be the VGAs, and I’m not ruling them out completely. As for the actual big in-game reveal, we have a long wait ahead of us. Going by Halo 4’s schedule, we won’t get anything until March. GDC would actually work, so it’s entirely possible.
