GC Cheating scheme debunked

I’d like to explore a strong possibility in hopes of rationalizing the absurd statistics provided by the top few players in the GC playlist. I honestly put my try hard pants on for this tournament, but feel deterred from playing when I observe godlike statistics on the leader boards. I can assure you that the statistical probability of the winning streaks achieved by these players is virtually impossible when considering the numerous variables the matchmaking system suffers from (lag, host, spawn points etc). There is, undoubtedly, a strong luck factor in the format of this tournament and the way it is executed. I consider myself a strong FFA player with a reasonable probability of making the semi-finalists, however, even absolute skill will suffer to variance, luck, and various other issues like network problems etc. There is an obvious implication that a technique or manipulation co-exists with the provided statistics for the top players to improve odds.

I’m sure many of you have observed the recent games of the top players for the GC playlist. There is a similar pattern prevalent among most top players… their field/competition feels deliberately weak. They seem to be consistently matched up against weak opponents with a CSR average of like 12 where they can just crush them, like most of us would. In addition, they have new accounts to reset stats to keep trying.

How? Simple… I realized that when you search for a match in the playlist and subsequently enter the lobby, you are given a few seconds to observe the statistics of your opponents very briefly. Unlike the other playlists where you are given an option to back out (for the stat whores), you cannot do so in the GC playlist, obviously. But there is an unbelievably simple way to circumvent this restriction… turn your xbox off -_-

Basically, when you enter the lobby, very quickly observe your opponents stats and if you happen to be matched up with a field you can’t beat with certainty you can just turn your xbox off and the game will not register. Continue doing this until you’re matched up in a lobby full of weak players you can certainly beat. If you happen to lose your winning streak for whatever reason, make a new account until you prosper to the top.

To validate this claim, right before I wrote this post I joined a lobby in the GC playlist and turned my xbox off before the game started. I checked my recent games on Waypoint and the game was non-existent, didnt even register. I was never penalized for turning my xbox off before the game started. This is another alternative to “backing out” to stat -Yoink!-, apparently it works great for tournaments as well.

Or maybe they’re just better than you. LMAO.

I’d at least like to find out if they’re better, but they’re too busy crushing those super difficult CSR 12’s lol
