Why is there only one Gauss-Turret-carrying-Warthog in Exile in Big Team Slayer?
The Scorpion and Banshee are no where near capable of balancing it. If blue team has 2 half-decent players, one to drive and one to shoot, blue team has a ridiculous advantage.
It’s at the point where I want to quit every time I find out that I’m on the read team. I’m pretty good at taking out warthogs, but the Gauss Hog is obviously the toughest vehicle in the game to destroy, and one team spawning with one is just ridiculous. It should spawn in the middle, or both teams should get one, or it should be balanced somehow.
Not to mention that blue team can access the Scorpion pretty easily. Exile is just a horribly unbalanced map in-general. If you want a scorpion or a banshee on the map, put one for each team to grab. Same goes for the Gauss hog.
> your out of your mind if u think the scorpion cant destroy the gauss hog in one shot. ive had 30 plus kills on red team at exile in a ghost son
You’re out of your mind if you think I wrote, anywhere in my post, that a scorpion can’t destroy a gauss hog in one hit.
Or if you think that the gauss hog is NOT the most powerful vehicle in that map.
It’s too easy, because of it’s small size and high speed/agility, to just stay on whichever side of the map the scorpion ISN’T on. The turret continues to function while it’s EMP’ed, so a good gunner will kill you before you ever toss a grenade at it.
If one team gets one, so should the other one. Period.
I’ve won plenty of times as the red team and I don’t think they are as disadvantaged as some people say they are. It’s true, the Gauss Hog is the baddest thing on wheels. But the red team more often than not gets the Scorpion and also has the tactical advantage of having top control. The Gauss Cannon is way too accurate and I’ve seen team mates pull of Sniper Rifle type shots from across the map while moving with it. A bit too OP. If ever a team gets the Gauss Hog AND the Scorpion thats pretty much an autowin.
Played a game the other day, BTB slayer on exile. Match starts, I hop in the gauss hog in the gunner posistion. My buddy’s driving. We went around the map while the rest of the team went after the tank trying to destroy it. 23 unanswered kills I had on the torrent. With the auto aim assist along with the gauss round locking onto the opponent even if you’re not directly aiming at the enemy I have to say the gauss hog is incredibly unfai to the team that doesn’t have it. .
However, in another game on exile in the same situation the other team all went after us with plasma pistols and stickies. We didn’t last long and I think I only got two or three kills with the hog.
It all depends on the team you’re playing. Once everyone learns you need to attack the hog right away, it won’t be as much of a factor. The majority of players seem to not understand this yet though.
Why should they have to understand that? Why should one team HAVE to start the match funneling all their efforts into destroying the other team’s main advantage? Why can’t they have a similar advantage of their own? Blue team can just circle slowly, away from the tank, at a decent distance from opponents, and soak up kills. I regularly get 20-25 kill/assist streaks (gunner or driver) on the gauss hog. Hell, one time I got a killionaire.

I suggest you up your Trueskill rank, then. With 8 players on a team, you’re telling me you can’t get one other player to teamshot the gunner and kill him in two seconds?
