Everytime I try and launch Halo Combat Evolved on my PC it comes up with “Gathering Exception Data” then the programme crashes and closes. I’ve tried updating all my drivers, updating the game, but nothing seems to be working? Any suggestions?
From what I can gather from searching around, you either downloaded a mod (this could be a map, etc) that the game doesn’t like or you’ve edited something somewhere and the game has noticed or lastly you don’t have a legitimate copy.
Have installed the game straight from the disk and not touched any of the files/folders

Sadly there’s too many different answers out there. My suggestion is try searching around yourself and testing out the fixes that have worked for others. I don’t know the definite answer to your problem. Best of luck, leave a post here if you find out the solution.
