I’ve been playing halo 5 since release. I haven’t seen improvement. I usually always end up dying a lot and when I try to not play aggressive, that doesn’t work either. So I need some help, please. I’ve looked up tricks and tips on youtube and that still isn’t improving my gamplay, please please help me guys

You can grab a friend and try practicing with the octagon map and gametype to improve your accuracy. I agree. Octogon is a great way to improve accuracy. I know that playing against my onyx fiance in it helped me a lot. But after a while I get worn out because he can kill me so fast over and over and I can’t do a thing. I’m so slow compared to him.

Going through the same stats as the OP, I have noticed you are also inclined to predominantly use the Ar. The Ar is a good weapon for close quarter encounters, but the pistol should be your go to in arena. While your accuracy is decent, it seems you do not use the pistol frequently enough or you are not finishing the kill.
The pistol is a pretty important utility weapon, in arena and I can’t stress how effective it is over the Ar. You should still use the Ar where you see fit, but constantly using it as much as you are can lead to some unfavorable distance encounters.
There are a plethora of other factors that go into becoming a better player such as map familiarity, quick reflexes, strafing, and the list goes on. The first thing you can do as an individual to find significant improvement is improve your ability with the pistol. Naturally practicing with the pistol also helps your Br, DMR, Carbine, and to some degree sniper weapons, but those require practice on there own as well.
Dont listen to youtube tips. Just find what weapons/ vehicles your good with and use that. Or do what i do and focus on earning a couple weaopn commendations. That way you learn all of the skills for a specific weapon while getting req packs. Because of this tactic i now know how to use a plasma caster properly, this is the one im working on. Next will probably be railguns. I could never figure out how to hit something with those unless it was arc light or sometimes whiplash.

Youtube tips can help you get in the right direction, especially if you don’t have the time to play the game at that moment. The commendations route is definitely viable, and it forces you to get good with the weapon at hand. (Charge the caster to plant a mine in a room), The key to using the railgun is understanding that the railgun does not have to be FULLY charged before firing a shot. You can release the charge at 3 seconds for a quicker kill, and always aim for the body until you get better with it. Glhf!

Winning at this game is actually really simple. It’s all about relative advantage and making sure you have a ridiculous advantage over your enemy. That’s why spawn camping is so insanely effective.
