Hi people, I’m interested in people’s gaming setup. My old 360 setup is dated, and unusable with the xbox one and am looking for people feedback.
My old setup
Samsung 24" suchmaster monitor
Trotton warheads
Scuf controller
Current
Same monitor. Looking to upgrade to a benq 24" gaming monitor (undecided which model)
Xbox one stereo headset. Looking at astro headsets (still undecided)
Xbox one elite controller
My primary monitor is BenQ BL3201PT. I mainly bought it with screen real estate in mind for productivity, but it’s a surprisingly adequate gaming monitor. Besides, on PC I can make full use of its resolution. Many people would probably tell me that 32 inches is too big for gaming, but I don’t think they quite appreciate how the eye functions. I also have a Dell U2515H as a secondary, but I suppose that that doesn’t qualify as part of the gaming setup.
My audio source are the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones with ModMic 4.0 for whenever I need a microphone. I’ve kind of transitioned away from gaming headsets because they mostly offer subpar or unexceptional sound quality for too much money.
I haven’t really bought any extra peripherals for the Xbox One because I just don’t play enough these days to justify anything but the standard controller. But on the 360 I went through one Razer Onza and loved it enough that I bought a second one. For all its issues, I think it was a solid first entry to the console market.

Anything particular about the desk and chair, or just nothing to complain?

No, not really. It’s just serves me better than playing in the living room on a TV thats 15 feet away.

I bought some hyper x cloud II. They are nice and where going cheap on amazon. My only issue with them are that I have them through the controller so it’s only in stereo… People have advised an astro mix amp to make the most of them… but then there not “wireless” (not counting the wire to the controller)
A simple (yet admittedly cramp) computer desk.
-32" Vizio 3DTV (I plan on upgrading to a standard HD TV soon. 3D TV’s have ghosting issues)
-Acer tower, 5th gen i7 CPU with a GTX 760 and 12gb’s of ddr3 memory placed on the floor under the desk on the left side
-Xbox One on the top right of my desk
-Wii U on the top left
-Xbox 360 in the bottom right cubby
-charging craddle for my n3DS next to the wii u
I am once again surprised by the number of folks who use monitors and play at a desk. I always just assumed the majority of players were on a couch in front of their TV like me, guess not!
