Gaming headsets

I’m going to get a new headset because my broke, but I don’t know which ones are good, durable, and under $200. So, can I have some help from you guys and gals ?

The Ear Force Recon 50X (Turtle Beach) is a nice headset in my opinion. The microphone part can get flimsy after a while, but it’s hardly an issue.

That’s the headset that I had but now I have to turn the aux cabble thing (the end but that plugs into the controller) in order for it to work. Do you think its the controller and not the headset?

Most turtle beach’s are great.

If you can get some Astros, get those. Not sure if they’re under $200 though. I’ve had several Turtle Beach head sets and they’ve all broke. Either the ear speaker would start making static noise, or the mic would break from the constant use.

Then again… I’ve had the Astro A50’s and those are really garbage.

Stay away from wireless headsets. They’re convenient because they’re wireless… But the feedback and static noise and having to deal with charging them…

Noted

Astro A40s and be sure to have the Mod Kit so the leather can drown out more noise if you got some loud people around you. or a cheaper set is A20s

Ok

I use the Hyper X Cloud Stinger, really good priced headset and the sound quality for game and chat audio is excellent.

It’s still kind of sexist to put “and gals” in parentheses as if women are secondary to men. It would have been just as weird if you had said “can I have some help from you gals (and guys)”. Why not keep it simple and say “from you people” or something?

Any of the HyperX headsets in your price-range are always brilliant go tos. Although I’d personally suggest the Cloud or Cloud Alpha. They are light, sleek, multi platform (PS4, XB1, PC) and provide great audio and mic quality. The Mic is also detachable on some headsets and they actually look decent if you want to wear them around in public.

But is it durable enough over a year?

I agree. I’ve used Turtle Beach headsets for a really long time now
