Gametypes To Be...

Are there any gametypes you’d like to see in Halo 4?
Possibly one you or a friend created?
Or a gametype from another game?

If so, please share with us.


Conquest
This game mode comes from the classical Star Wars Battle Front series.
This game mode is somewhat similar to Territories in Halo.
Except a few things.

One, there are always five zones around the map, no more, no less.
Two, once a zone is captured, you may spawn in that zone.
Three, players cannot spawn in a zone while being captured.
Four, both teams start with one zone, the other three are neutral.
Five, once one of the two teams captures all five zones, they win.
Six, the only way to win otherwise is by getting a certain amount of kills, or by having the most amount of kills when the time runs out.

I would personally love to see this gametype created in Halo 4.
I’ve tried finding ways of setting this up in Reach, and never could.


S&D (or something similar)
S&D(in my opinion) is the best game mode in CoD.
I, and many others, would love to see it or something similar in Halo.
Now this actually can be created in Halo Reach.
But I would like for 343 to design their own, unique game mode that’s similar to it.
However they’d like to do that, I don’t care.

As long as it creates the same environment, it’s fine.
By that, I mean, it needs to create an agrressive and overly-competitive environment and overall mood.

I wouldnt mind the assassination gametype from KILLZONE 2 & 3… a random player on either team is selected as the target and must be defended for a certain amount of time to win. Obviously if the target is killed the other team wins.

Oooh!
That’d be fun!
Unless ofcourse the target on your team is a total noob.
Then it would get aggravating.
For the most part, people would only play with full teams of friends.

But still a great idea!


EDIT:
In Halo 4, we could possibly design that in Customs.
You’d have to use Forge partially though.
Here’s how it could be done:

Red team = Attackers / Blue team = Defenders
-Set it to 1-Flag CTF.
-Set the red flag spawn point directly on a blue player spawn.
-Set the Flag Return point out of the players’ reach.
-Set Auto-Pickup and Sticky Flag.
-Give players a point for one thing, killing the Flag Carrier.
-Set “Score-To-Win” to 1 point.

VIP was a really good gametype in Halo 3.
I’d love to see it again in Halo 4.

Core Slayer is a Slayer gametype that mixes in elements of Assault and Capture the Flag. Each team spawns with a Power Core in their base. This core can be carried and inserted into specific “Interactive Map Elements” (IME). These IME can be anything that can be powered on such as shield doors, gates, light bridges, grav lifts, man cannons, teleporters, turrets, laser arrays, electromagnetic land mines and more. After the Power Core is inserted into an IME it will function for a set period of time after which it will be consumed and the IME will power down. The spent Power Core will respawn as a fully charged Power Core back in your base, after a set time, after it has been consumed by the IME. Once inserted into an IME, a Power Core cannot be removed. The act of carrying a core from your base to an IME is like Assault while the act of stealing the enemy team’s respawned core is like Capture the Flag. The game is Slayer so it can be played without the use of Power Cores but they can turn the tide of a battle with their map altering properties.

I think it would work out just fine FFA. Though it’s all fun and games, it has an edge of skill and competitiveness to it. Call me crazy xD

But also the variant where it’s the VIP who scores kills, so that the whole enemy team won’t just stay in one place.

Especially VIP, that made for EPIC custom games! I can’t see the problem with adding this. The more gametypes available, the better… Right?

That would be very interesting.
But what if the team wants to power a gate for their base.
But a noob takes it and uses it on the man cannons instead?
That would aggravate a lot of people.

But still an AWESOME idea!

You mean Versus?
That’d be fun, but since Spartan Ops is like Campaign, that might not work so well.
If they still had FireFight, this would be great!
It would be just like Beast Mode from Gears of War.

Personally, I’d always play as a Drone.
Even if they suck.
It’d be cool to fly in a big swaarm with them.

I heard Versus was being made in Black Ops 2 Zombies.

Me and a few Waypointers made a search and destroy esk map/gametype and it was a lot of fun…

I would love to see a Haloized version of S & D
