I havent been noticing my KDR lately because I’ve been doing some commendations and I’ve noticed its gone down to 0.75. Anyone know a fast way to boost up your KDR quickly?
Any objective gametype?
What’s the point of boosting up that number anyway?
Play with a party. Its like that with me. Every time I play alone, Im stuck carrying my team and we always loose and I go negative sometimes. but usually when I play with at least one other person I have way better games.
playing at least 7 games of MM with my friends raised my KD 2 points.
Get better at the game.
If you really care that much about your KDR play Dominion it’s a great gametype and is power-weapon heavy
Hit up oddball. Everytimr I play I get a large amount of kills plus its a good warm up gametype
Play conservatively in BTB.
Also, just try not to worry about KDR.
Hmm, going to just wish you luck… and tell you not bother with it… specially if play some objective types… My best team-mate was neg 2-3k kills… kind of scares you in the beginning… but that guy was one hell of a flag runner.
I have been focusing on just playing slayer game types (4v4 and 8v8) to better my killing ability, because anybody can shoot and kill numerous players rushing the oddball or flag which isn’t fun for me personally. ( stat padding as it were).
Furthermore playing slayer alone improves your ability individually for when you play in a team you are more skilled in 1v1 and 1v2 battles if a team mate dies or you are caught off guard.
I now im going off topic, but it is best to play objective games with a team of friends, to have strategic pushes and defensive plays too, which in ideal situations will benefit your k/d for the whole team, for eg. push flag as a unit, 1 player dies, but 4 more can kill off 3/4 enemy players, pulling flag with 1 death for 3/4 kills as a team. So as a team you are already +2/+3 (3/4kills/1 death).
Just because you push objective doesn’t mean you can have an ‘excuse’ for a negative k/d it just means that you may not be playing well as a team or pushing at the right time. Pushing flag solo or pulling flag when 4 players have just re-spawned is just a bad move and you are being punished with a negative k/d for those actions.
To all players with below a 1.0 k/d look at your play style and ask yourself these questions during a match.
- what is my play style? (passive/cqc/assistant)
- where are enemies most likely to be situated?
- what is the best way to take down my enemies?
Into the game you will die unless you are getting a perfection and you will need to keep check of what you are doing once you die.
Imagine you have just died in team slayer most players initial reactions in my experience is to rush to where the player has just killed them.
- question yourself why you are pushing where you have just been killed, it will more than likely result in more deaths.
- re- a s s e s where the enemies are located
- re- a s s e s where your team mates are situated
- determine the way that will best disrupt and take down your enemies.
and the final key advice is, when you are weakened by an enemy and they have an upper had dont chase after them or try to get a trade (kill for kill) as it will most likely end with you dieing and them living.
I hope these little tips have helped for anybody who was needing advice or on the other side of a 1.0 k/d. I know i went off topic but i like to give advice or tips on how to improve, and it probably shows that i love halo and making the community and halo players better in general, it just grows the games competition and players like for the game when they can perform better.

To be honest I’m just a casual player. I just play for fun, but everyone who sees my KDR thinks I’m a terrible player, so thats why I’m trying to improve it.
