I play almost everyday, and HW is the only game I play.
Before I replied I looked up some of your recents to gauge your skill level. If you want to send me an fr at some point I’d be willing to teach you a few things if I’m not busy. I’ll go ahead and give you few pointers now since I’m already posting =P
Scarabs are worthless don’t build them, one of the worst units in the game once you figure in cost and build time.
Prophet is worthless in 2s and is outclassed by brute offensively and outclassed by arby in virtually everything else. In 1v1 he’s viable but again is typically outclassed by brute and is only good in certain situations.
As brute/por in 2v2 your primary concern is air lead and the only units you should be building (except brutes for rushing) in 95% of games are banshees/vamps.
Getting age of reclamation is almost never a good idea. The 2k supplies spent on that is too much of a waste for what you get in return, and as you will most likely be sacrificing unit lead by a lot, they can push and win relatively easily.
Not trying to dig at you XTheManateeX but this is why I find it hard to get into Halo wars multiplayer. I mostly play off line or with friends because now a days I only play for two reasons. To either rush for some quick points to get promoted actually want to have fun the quickly get squashed my much better players. Recently I just hop in a game play for a few min and get out, why? Because when I play for fun I want to play to command an army like one in all the other Halo game. Everyone left on the severs now days is either amazing or total garbage now tho. The amazing ones super analyse every detail to squeeze every drop out. To me that is not any fun, I want to play a scarab because it is awesome, or roll 20 deep on hawks because in the back of my head flight of the bumble bee is roaring. I have a hard time finding any casual fun on the severs so that leaves me to point grinding so I can get my general rank. Once again not digging at you or any of the far better players out there just wish there were more of us so I could enjoy this game out side of campaign with my friends.
That’s understandable, and if you’re looking for that, try super turtling. It’s a great way to kill an hour or more, and it’s always funny to see how people try to break it, while you just sit back and take a dump on their armies time after time.
If you want to have fun, just beat up the AI in Skirmish with your friends.
