So I just talked to Gamestop customer service regarding the Red Shift promotion. I purchased a WCT MC figure off of their website on Nov. 12th but it has had multiple delays to the point of now it won’t arrive until after the promotion ends (Dec. 13th). When asking the customer service rep about whether or not my purchase would qualify since it was made during the promotion dates, they flip-flopped between telling me the promo would last until Infinite releases, and having no knowledge of the promo and to go to the website I referenced (HaloWaypoint) to clarify the details of the promotion… such great customer service right?
Anyway, my question is: does anyone think the promo would be extended to be closer to the actual release of the game? do we even know what products work for this promo? From what I’ve read buying funko pops in-store seem to be the only things that work, and pop aren’t really my cup of tea, so I’m hoping for any kind of clarity on this promotion.

From my understanding it has to be in store and a Halo product. Ive heard of people getting them with the toys and pop figures…haven’t heard of anyone buying a Halo beanie or socks and getting them though. Unfortunately that’s the best info we’ve got at this point. Its definitely not inked to any purchases of Microsoft/Xbox stuff like our Community Update indicated last month and has been hit/miss (but more so miss) across the country. Best I could say is save your receipts and maybe down the line someone at Microsoft or Gamestop will make something happen for those who were unable to acquire the code as advertised.
I made my purchase online since my gamestop sucks and dosnt have anything halo in stock, I reached out to gamestop with the issue and have yet to get a response its been 4 days since my order shipped out, so I am assuming online orders are a bust for this promotion, you would think with all the issues going on they would rather you order online I am glad I only spent $16 to see if this would work or not I guess I will just miss out on this armor and thats a bummer

I wonder if you order it to be shipped to your store, if its
possible to pay in store then and see if the code prints out. I think anything online has to be paid immediately.

I wish they would properly announce how this promo is actually working for y’all, cause I feel sad that I can’t reach everyone on it. Some of us have figured out exactly how the promo works, but we can’t get to everyone about it.
I walked in and bought one of the 5 or so Spartan funkos. Came with the code at the bottom of my receipt. I don’t even like funkos so my friend got a free one.

Bro I swear 90% of the time I go to Gamestop I always encounter an employee who thinks they know so much more than they think they do. Its a weird elitism that I find myself observing lol. Anyway, I had this experience with the red shift armor thing too, as they just speculated about the promo while not knowing about its existence. No help at all. Unfortunately, it was corporate GS and/or 343 that most likely dropped the ball on communication for this.
While of course anything can happen at this point, I wouldn’t bet on the promo being extended. Basically, if you can find em: funko pops or the wicked cool toys for Infinite should work. Also the Nerf gun works too for the code, although it is way more expensive (but that gun comes with a separate code inside with its own weapon skin… if you are trying to collect a bunch of cosmetics anyway). From numerous visits and phone calls in my area, the Nerf gun was the most prominently stocked, unfortunately. This promo was a very frustrating and confusing let down my friend. Good luck.
What is funny is that I have none of the halo stuff like the funkos or the WCT figures at my local gamestop. I do have one of the nerf guns left in stock at my local gamestop but no, I am not paying 60 bucks for a stupid armor coating. I rather not bust your butt over this mainly because it’s simply a bad and difficult promotion. I think none of you including myself should get worried about this because it is just not worth it. Anyway, a free heart for all ya.

Though, the MA40 itself is pretty cool, and does come with it’s own extra promo stuff too. The MA40 comes with a NERF skin for the MA40 and a NERF weapon charm.

Plus, you get a life-size MA40 replica for all your cosplay or photoshoot needs. And its a motorized Nerf rifle, which are almost always reliable for the most part.

Had a GameStop employee actually ask me for clarification on which generation of Spartans Noble was. He was convinced they were early IVs.
Woops. XD
Well I said screw it and hopped in the car and went for a road trip for an hour and a half just to get this armor coding kinda sad lmao still never got a email back from Gamestop for the online order oh well, I will keep you guys posted if I get a 2nd code I will give it away but don’t hold your breath.

Yeah, it is pretty cool and there is extra promotion stuff, but is it really worth 60 bucks? It seems to me it depends what type of person ya are.

shop around…GameStop always hikes up their products. I bought it off Amazon way cheaper when it first launched. The thing isnt very accurate compared to BoomCo’s Halo line but it is still sweet in terms of detailing and its fully automatic capabilities.
