I pre ordered the Halo 5 collector’s edition from Gamestop. When I picked the game up, the pre order bonus code were suppose to be in the box. It wasn’t. I called Gamestop and they told me to contact Microsoft. I called Microsoft and they told me to come here. I’m starting to feel like I’m getting the run around. I just want my pre order stuff. Here’s the reference ID they gave me. 1310547609. Thank you.
Pre-order bonus codes should have been on your receipt from Gamestop… and is only available if you actually pre-ordered it before release. If you pre-ordered it, I’d go to Gamestop…
I pre ordered it the first day they were taking them. For the Collectors Edition, the codes were in the box. I called Gamestop and they were instructed to tell people having this issue to contact Microsoft.
I have the Collector’s Edition and it had no codes. Pre-order bonuses at Gamestop has always printed on their receipts. How would they put codes for Gamestop preorder bonuses inside the sealed boxes? If you ordered it online, it should have been emailed to you. If you walked in and picked it up, it should be on your printed receipt.

For Gamestop it was on my receipt. Which makes sense because that makes distribution easier.
Cool story. I’m not interested in what other people have to say about this issue. I’m here because it’s where Microsoft told me to go after Gamestop told me to go to them. Microsoft told me that there was issues with people not getting their pre order codes and that the issue would be handled here.
As stated. The Collector’s Edition has absolutely no codes provided within the packaging. All codes are distributed by whomever you purchased the game from, themself. That’s just common sense, since each retailer is giving you different pre-order bonuses. As far as 343i is concerned, they have no proof that you pre-ordered… and will most likely send you back to Gamestop.

Allow me to quell this as someone who bought the Limited game pre-ordered from Gamestop. There are TWO sets of codes. One is the code that comes standard with the game as if bought from anywhere which is INSIDE the packaging. The GAMESTOP code which is the items you get for pre-ordering from them is the code on the receipt.
What is being specified is the Gamestop code is present. The box code is not.
As for this game as a whole they’re having tons of issues for a game they promised wouldn’t be broken on release. I still don’t have my Fotus Armor from my Limited copy. Tons more don’t have a lot of the stuff they paid for, most don’t have their Teishin Raikou, and people with the MCC Legend Achieve are ALSO missing their Helioskril unlock.
As someone highly irritated with this game as a whole… Why am I not surprised to see things like this popping up by the hour.
