is there a way i can get a code because my gamestop screwed me out of mine even though i pre ordered it and to this day say oh you already have it even though i show them the receipt if someone can help me it would be appreciated.
Unless you pre-ordered it specifically or License transferred it from someone else, you’re not ever gonna get it. Pre-orders got the code.

it was a 5 day old game on the day i got banned from those two gamestops the reason why was because i told people who were picking up their pre orders was gamestop scams you out of your chest code which is true because only one friend of mine got thiers while me, my 2 cousins didn’t get theirs. its not just the chest either they also changed my legendary edition to a heroic edition(thank god for online shopping) which p’’’'d me off keep in mind the they also refused to give me the chest code(without my knowledge) you bet i would have been banned from that gamestop but we couldn’t go back until 5 days after and we never went to that gamestop ever again.

i said i got it on day one so there isn’t a newer copy and they had the reach poster saying pre order here and get the multi threat armor. and the whole quantity issue could be solved by generating the code on the receipt.

Perhaps there was a label similar to “Only at participating stores…” and the Gamestop you preordered from did not have them. Even though you should’ve made the push toward the problem at hand a long time ago. ):

i agree with you because gamestop scammed me and 65% of my friends out of it and i heard from a source i.e my cousin who was fired that most of the employees there refused to give you the code just so they could sell them online for 20 to 30 dollars.

luckily I got commando Dom when he was cheap. Now he’s going for close to $200!!!
I bought a hard copy of the limited edition recently, downloaded all the stuff on the Xbox one, and when I downloaded the elite officer armor, it said I also got the ‘pre-order bonus armor’. I had no idea what that was at the time, but it didn’t show up in-game. I tried redownloading it, but that didn’t work either. It’s like it’s teasing me that I have it, but I don’t have it.
Dude you totally screwed up I’m not defending Gamestop I’ve been screwed over by them plenty of times but the time they gave me a faulty pre order code for the flight suit avatar outfit for black ops 1, I simply called the location I purchased it from, spoke with a manager and they directed me towards the EB Games website, (most of the locations are still called EB Games here in Canada) where I emailed their customer support and told them my code didn’t work. I think the issue was widespread so they sent a code out right away I just had to provide proof of purchase.
Had you contacted their customer support via email or through their website shortly after you picked up your game you probably could have had this all resolved years ago, but never under any circumstance should you get into a heated discussion with one of those idiots in-store not to mention get yourself thrown out and banned from 2 separate locations? The pre order codes that are printed on your receipt are different than those that come in the case with the game. Basically what probably happened was there was an error and you didn’t get your code on the receipt but by the time you came back and questioned them about it, (a few days after according to your post) they were already fresh out of codes and any left overs surely got kept by staff possibly even sold online. A lot of those places don’t adhere to the rules when it comes to pre order codes. The other stores besides Gamestop are worse for that a friend of mine walked into a Toys R Us and said he pre ordered a game and didnt get the pre order code and they simply handed him one he didn’t even buy the game in the first place.
I don’t know what you expect to gain by expressing your frustration here on the forums. It’s 2016 the only way you are getting a code now is by paying a small fortune on ebay, assuming the code even still works. The code for the gears of war 2 golden hammerburst given away at midnight launch events doesnt work anymore so even if you still had the code and tried to redeem it it won’t work because microsoft deleted the content from their servers or something like that.
I missed out on the bungie eternal blue flames because I wasnt gaming at all at the time and I also didn’t have an apple device either (I know you could get it from the website as well) and although it still pisses me off to this day there is nothing anyone can do besides 343 but they sure as hell aren’t gonna give away bungies nameplate and flames even though they gave away recon on halo 3 after everyone who got it before worked their -Yoinks!- off spending countless hours getting all the vidmasters or by beating a bungie employee or whatever.
Sorry for the rant but I think you get my point. Just let it go bro the reach servers will be shut down by the time you get a code from gamestop lol.
