Gamesradar thinks Halo 5's e3 was "Awful"

And people think the waypoint forums complain. haha.
I personally thought the e3 was alright. Nothing revolutionary, but it wasn’t “bad”.
Gamesradar goes so far to call it “awful” which I think is unprofessional given that it really wasn’t THAT bad. Awful would be the what fans thought of Metroid Prime Federation Force.
UPDATE:
GamesRadar redacted the “awful” from their article, and made it seem more positive. They must have gotten a lot of backlash from us Waypoint Forum users.

They also think Halo 5 is too much like CoD. I’m not going to agree or disagree.

“Bland” “short” “Uninspired” could have been used, but “awful”?
I mean the demo was short, it was bland (same as most halo’s E3) but I wouldn’t go as far as to call it awful.

Wow. I just read it, and I’ve realized something…people cannot get used to the changes in Halo. If we had the same mechanics for every single Halo game, the series would definitely die off. You cannot keep the same exact formula of a franchise, and if you do, it dies off.

Also, for those that complain about smart-scope in H5, I don’t get the problem. It works just like using the scopes for any weapon in Halo. If you get shot, you exit the scope. I feel like people only complain about it because it is the same button as it is in CoD. If you were to ask anyone why smart-scope is similar to ADS, they’ll probably say “because you can aim down sights in Halo now.” For those people: you have always done ADS in Halo, just with a different button.

Halo is changing. Deal with it.

The only things I would call awful from E3 would be Nintendo’s Press Conference and the PC one.

Awful implies that the Demo did everything wrong. I would argue that this was NOT the case. To me, The demo did what it needed to do, Nothing more and nothing less.

Now, Could the Demo of been handled better? Of course it could of. But ‘awful’? That’s a pretty strong word, And shouldn’t be used lightly. Honestly, I think this critics view is rather unfair, But that’s just me.

But given that the demo was basically confirmed to be like the Halo 4 E3 demo (Used Assets from the actual game, But the demo was NOT how things went down in the game), I think it safe to say that we shouldn’t judge Halo 5’s Campaign off a obvious vertical slice.

Perhaps the author should have done his homework and learned that the campaign demo was only heavily scripted to show off the new features instead of acting like a child and calling it “awful”. Was the campaign demo linear and generic? Yes. Will the actual campaign be like that? Certainly not.

That’s why Fallout 4 and Battlefront are going to dominate. People want epic battles, customization, abilities, etc. Halo 5 is definitely on the right track imo.

There was a PC one?

I Think they ruined their only opportunity to “WOW” us. Now look at what happened, halo 5 isn’t even on the top 100 Amazon video games. Plus, most E3 trailers get millions of view, but the same can’t be said for the halo 5 E3 demo. I’m really excited to play, but I think that this game will do very poorly in terms of sales. It’s a mix of low xbone sales, bad E3, Halo MCC/Halo 4 disasters and bigger and better games coming out this fall.

It’s a recipe for disaster, I suggest delaying the game until spring/summer 2016.

R.I.P

Not going to satisfy the clickbait there. Will leave with a “What’s Gamesradar?”

it wasThey didn’t really show off anything groundbreaking. Just a generic portion of the campaign and a bit of warzone.

Except both of those games are infinitely better at what they do…

How long until people realize that Halo isn’t going to beat them at their own game…

Halo is not going to beat Fallout at customization. Halo is not going to beat Battlefront at massive battles. Halo can only beat them at solid arena gameplay.

Thats why 343 needs to advertise the FYoink out of this game on TV and youtube.

I predict 4 million sales sadly due to the Xbox One’s low sales. 6 million if the game sells consoles. God -Yoink!- Sony was evil for stealing CoD from Xbox’s exclusivity sales.

That article is a good read…sure you can argue about that one word “awful” but the overall tenor was just true!
What 343 showed at e3 was borderline embarrassing!
Sure graphics were nice but this michael bay/CoD-style cheap action is not what Halo should be about!

I’m not gonna lie, they could have spent that 1 minute of quicktime events, to show somthing more innovative about Halo 5.

4 million!!! Lmao!!! XD

i expect around 1million within the first month, then around 2million by the end of the year…and that’s being generous

Thats yoinking depressing. Halo 4 sold 8 million. A little bit less than reach, but not too bad.

Am I the only one depressed that Halo 5 is going to be undershadowed by Fallout, Battlefront, and worst of all COD BO 3?

It needs more advetisement, more views on youtube. Halo 3 shook the world, what happened?!

If Halo 5 only sells 2 million, that is pretty bad for the devs, the fans, and the series.

The E3 Demo WAS relatively dull. The voice acting was all around bad (aside from Buck), and the gameplay itself was just the usual first person explosions and sprinting. They could have done alot better.
