o.O
The Guardians will probably become the new Halo Rings, so to speak.
The forerunners that survived the firing of the halo array come out and start fighting humans and sangheili, so they have to ally to fight them.

The Guardians turn out to be giant cats. They are the pre-Precusors

Never thought about that. Really interesting and plausible theory

So… egyptians? also ‘precursor’.

Well, that would be interesting.
They said the same thing about Halo 4. It’s even in the description in the MCC. Hopefully something will actually happen in H5 that effects the galaxy. (I’m sure it will considering what’s been happening in Hunt the Truth, guardians, ect.)

I’m hoping that it actually effects more than just Human/Sangheili space in the end. That every species and their colonies/Homeworld will feel the repercussions of whatever occurs in the game. It kind of irks me when they use the term “Galaxy” and in the end it only means Humans are affected.
Massive Forerunner constructions are waking up after a more than hundred-thousand year dormancy. The state of the galaxy and its political climate will be irreversibly altered. More than that, what we’re confronting in this game, and its lasting repercussions could be far reaching. We have no context, we don’t know why 117 is waking up the Guardians, we could theoretically suggest 117 learns that something is coming. Even coming back.
Perhaps the Makers themselves, The Precursors are returning, massive, vile creatures that seek to destroy the work of ungrateful children. And, maybe, the Guardians are our defense against them.

Exactly why i hated it being used in the Halo 4 description. There was no galactic threat in H4, aside from humanity.
It should have been the master chief will never be the same or something.

Not saying you’re wrong here, but I could’ve sworn the promo for Halo 4 painted the situation as a threat to humanity, not the galaxy
The Halo universe takes place in a very small pocket of the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way galaxy. To “change the galaxy” would mean all 400 billion stars and solar systems and sentient species that live thousands upon thousands of light years away that we’ve never even seen would be affected. So we’ll see if that is the case or if the “galaxy” really just means the Humans and the Sangheili and a few forerunners.

You pretty much worded it perfectly, which is why I’m never going to trust them when they say “Galaxy” unless the entire Galaxy is affected.

Turn on MCC and move over to Halo 4 and its the last sentence in the description for the game.

Well the forerunner constructs are around the whole galaxy, such as the rings measured apart to encompass the galaxy when required to fire/cleanse. So, that’s not entirely true being just “a part” of the galaxy. It’s a technicality for some games yes, but usually it’s true.
