Games starting with uneven teams. FIX THIS

Games keep starting with uneven teams. This is absolute -Yoink-. How am I supposed to enjoy this game when I keep getting put into 3v4’s all night long?
NOBODY IS QUITTING.
The game simply matches me with 7 players and by chance I guess I end up on the team of three players. Regardless of which team I get put on, the game of Halo should NEVER START WITH UNEVEN TEAMS.
This is happening right at launch? With an enormous population of players to pull from? Get your -Yoink- together 343. This is pathetic.

i have close to 100 games played and this hasn’t happened to me once.

It happens all the time for me.

But its fine, 343 said its balanced. Just adapt.

5-10% of my games are 3v4 and it is always miserable because team shot seems to be a lot more prevalent in Halo 4 than in previous titles. Not to mention abilities like promvis or ordnance which allow their entire team to pick you out from across the map or always have some form of a power advantage over you.

> i have close to 100 games played and this hasn’t happened to me once.

Well it is happening to me as well as others.
Out of my 55 games played this has happened for nearly a quarter of them, in both Team Slayer and BTB.
The game will start with either 3v4 or 7v8.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

> i have close to 100 games played and this hasn’t happened to me once.

I do not believe you have not had an uneven game… it happens more than often

This needs to be fixed or addressed.

> i have close to 100 games played and this hasn’t happened to me once.

You are lying. This happens every time a game finishes and people leave the lobby. I have had the game put me on a team by myself against 4 people. It does fill the empty spots once the game has started, but it SHOULD fill the game BEFORE it starts.

The amount of people saying “This is unacceptable!” is unacceptable. This problem that you’re having? That’s on the internet. I will bet you that in those games where amazingly your team - and judging from your tone it’s just your team, amazingly every time. No one complains when the odds are in their favor - is down one man, the missing person has an X next to their tag, indicating they failed to connect.

343i’s option to fix this is what every other game has dine; join in progress. But oh, no. Waves of complaints and comparisons to CoD.

Also, if you start a match 3v3, it’s possible that 1 guy ONLY joins one of the team by JIP making the teams uneven…

The last thing I want to do is play an uneven game regardless of which team I get put on.
And no, nobody is “failing to connect”, although I have seen that happen. Games are legitimately starting with 3v4. That’s how many people were found in the search and instead of waiting for an 8th, the game starts.
That IS unacceptable.

Good thing you’re writing in yellow. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to read your dumb complaints.

Are you kidding me? It’s balanced?

I had a game of CTF start where we had a 5 on 1; we scored twice before the other team had 5 people in the game; and went on to shut them out. Then a few games later in Oddball it was 5 on 1 again and we got the ball, and got a nearly a minute before the other team even shot me with the ball; we shut them out and I didn’t die once, holding the ball the entire game.

The uneven starting teams is a horrible excuse for matchmaking. 343i NEEDS to fix is because it is costing players games; and even though I won those games, it wasn’t fun.

Exactly this…

How it happens:

Game ends, all of one team, but one person leaves; the whole other team, who is in a party stays. The game has enough to start the game, so it starts a new game with the one team still intact, and the other team having just the one person from the previous game.

Players join soon after, but as I said in my previous post, it takes some time to happen. In slayer it is usually a couple kills (no big deal, but still unacceptable), but in objective it can easily cost you the game.

Also, even being on the team that wins, it isn’t fun to just win a game without any competition. If there were a rank system it would be, but winning isn’t all that important in this game; I’d rather have good games.

I’ve had this happen a couple times. Mostly in Infinity Slayer but within a few seconds of the game the extra spots are filled.

If you think this is a dumb complaint you are a hopelessly daft individual. And it’s ORANGE you colorblind fool.

That does happen frequently but I’ve also experienced it another way.
I’ve been in a party of 3, the game will end, we will stay in the lobby, and then we get matched up against 4 other players. The game starts and we play the ENTIRE GAME without another player joining our team. Absolutely stupid.

No, this is not unacceptable. It’s an expected situaton for a massive game’s first week. Just like some of the credits and challenges glitching, as well as the stats and website.

In fact, I cannot think of one thing that would be truly “unacceptable.” Quit being entitled.

It put me in a game of Regicide by myself last night, lol. Then the game ended and I was back to searching. This is basically a join in progress issue which is only one of many that needs to be fixed.

You have to be kidding…joking? Jesting?
Getting matched pre-game with uneven teams and then being put into the game with the uneven teams intact is EXPECTED?
I have played Halo 2 at launch, Halo 3 at launch, Halo Reach at launch, and now Halo 4 at launch. NEVER in any of those previous games was I matched against an uneven amount of players. Let me say that again. NEVER had the matchmaking system matched me with an odd number of players and then proceeded to go about starting the game.
EVER.
I have witnessed the occasional quitter while the match is setting up resulting in uneven teams, but this is not the issue with Halo 4’s matchmaking system.
The system is ACTIVELY matching odd numbers of players and starting games with uneven teams.
I just finished an oddball game where my party of 5 was matched against 3 players (who didn’t back out of the previous post-game lobby)…not until we had 150 oddball points did the team of 3 get 2 more players added into the game. They had ZERO chance of winning. Is that fair to them? They should expect that?
I have played a Slayer game where my party of 3 was matched against a party of 4 and we NEVER had a 4th teammate added onto our team.
That IS unacceptable.
It is unacceptable for the team having a pointless time destroying an undermanned team and it is unfair for the team with lesser players to have to sit through an utter -Yoink—Yoinking!- because someone at 343 thought it would be good for Halo 4 to start games with uneven teams.
This blows my -Yoinking!- mind that this is even an issue to begin with and further destroys my faith in humanity that idiots like you are apologizing and saying “no big deal” to one of the DUMBEST and most pointless changes (not to mention unfair and cheap to those who paid for this game and are expecting a fun experience) ever to happen to Halo.
Expected situation? Jesus christ man. I’m entitled for wanting fair teams and evenly matched games like there has been in EVERY SINGLE HALO at launch? You people on this site are absolutely insane.
