Like, For god’s sake, What in the everloving hell is happening with the servers, They lag like mad these times around.
There’s been a lot of ideas and theories around why Halo 5’s “dedicated servers” don’t feel so dedicated.
The one I’ve heard more commonly and the one that I agree with the most is, Halo 5 has too much stuff. At the beginning of Halo 5, there wasn’t a whole lot of stuff, but, the servers were able to hold it together and run pretty well for the most part. But now, after a ton of updates and content has come out, the servers have gone down in quality. Most likely because with the addition of all this “stuff”, the server is having problems with sending and receiving information. This causes packet loss and lag spikes.
Although, I’m no programmer and this could all just be a coincidence. Whatever the problem or reason, the servers are really bad as of late and 343i should be having no excuse to be having connection issues and they need a good fixing. And lets hope that Halo 6 and future Halo’s don’t have any similar problems.
