Games are just missing randomly

I launch MCC PC today and Halo CE/Reach/Halo 2 are all gone. Theres a download button but in true microsoft fashion I cant just hit that button to download the game (Which ive already installed anyway).

Now for no reason at all the games arent there. If I try to download Halo 2 from the MS store, for instance, it tells me that I dont have any devices.

Why is Microsofts handling of PC games so garbage? Nothing is auto updating and things are disappearing. Im not sure if I have to patience to deal with this anymore. I cannot think of a worse way to do this than what they have right now.

It looks like this only affects multiplayer because I can launch the campaign from any of the games. They are for sure installed.

I am on the Steam version of the MCC, so my knowledge of the MS Store is very limited. When you go into the MCC, can you click on options and career, then settings, click on the gameplay tab, and then the option for change installed games? Make sure the campaign and multiplayer is checked off for each. If they are already checked, is there some way you can verify the integrity of the game files via the store, to make sure nothing is missing or corrupt? Try these and let us know how it goes.

Ok, I did what you said. It shows the multi/singleplayer portions of all 3 games is installed but there is a lock on each one. I am signed into the same account that has gamepass. IDK whats going on. If I click the download Halo CE button that pops up I get a windows store error “catalogue availability”…

I hate MS store. Its total garbage and has been nothing but problems.

edit: I just caved and bought it on Steam. Gamepass seems like a great idea until you realize that it means dealing with the MS store. I just dont understand why a software company as big as MS cannot handle a digital marketplace? It has been garbage since day one.

Wow, that’s really weird that the game is doing that to you. You may have to submit a support ticket if the games continue to show up as locked, especially since you own all of the titles. I guess since you decided to buy on steam, there is no need at this point. At least now if in the future you decide to stop paying the GP subscription, you won’t be locked out of the MCC. I’m not really a fan of subscriptions for games, so that’s why I just bought the MCC outright on Steam.
