I know this has been asked before but I’ve seen so many different answers my head is spinning. If I change my Gamertag come the new year, will I keep my Halo 4 stats? Is there anyway I can be sure of this before I make the switch? Thanks again for help you guys and girls can give.
I can confirm that you will.
I changed my main profiles gamertag to my 2nd accounts gamertag. Then my 2nd account to a new one. My main account kept it’s original stats, though my Halo 3 stats, since they aren’t updated anymore are the same with the old name.
This also seems to mess up your Halo Reach stats as my main profile has adopted my 2nd profiles Halo Reach stats and my original gamertag, when viewed on waypoint, remains unchanged.
Also my 2nd profile didn’t adopt the 2nd profiles original stats for Halo Reach.
if u just pay to CHANGE it, everything will stay the same.
if u get a BRAND NEW one then u will lose everytging.

Halo 4 is more up to date, changing it to a new or pre-existing gamer tag will update your stats correctly.
The previous games titles will not.
