gamertag question

i want to change my gamertag on my main profile but i have already got another account using that gamertag so i cant change the gt on my main account because its already being used by my secondary account so my question is
if i delete my secondary account can i take that gt and use it oann my main account?
any help would be appreciated :slight_smile:

No, once a GT is taken it’s basically used up. Even if you rename or delete an account, that tag is gone.

Well, I don’t know if this is entirely true.

I changed my original GT and then after a wile changed it back to the original, and it let me use it.

But maybe when you change your GT it remembers every GT you use and reserves them for that account only. I don’t know exactly.

If you change the GT on your secondary account, or delete the secondary account, that GT will now be available to use on your main account. Worked for me, anyways.
